Holiday Birthday

It's time for another post for Pattie's Creations Challenge Blog using her "Mice With Presents".  This is a month where my husband and I celebrate our wedding anniversary of 35 years and both of our birthdays, so it's still a party month.  I thought these little mice were so cute.

Used Copics for coloring and paper from my stash, stickles to decorate the packages and ribbon.

It's Anything Goes this month for the blog challenge and we hope to see you there.

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

Poinsettia Plant

Nothing prettier and more festive than a poinsettia plant during the holidays.  This image is from Pattie's Creations.  I fussy cut several poinsettia's as I wanted to give depth to the card, although, the image is perfect without the additional poinsettia's.  The poinsettia's, leaves, and pot are colored with Copics.  The bow and sentiment are from Anna Griffith.

Our challenge theme this month is Anything Goes so hop on over to Pattie's Creations Design Challenge to see what the design team have created for your inspiration.

Have a great month and Thanksgiving.

Mallard's - Masculine Card

With fall rapidly approaching and 3 male birthdays coming up I decided to make some masculine cards.  Duck hunting comes with fall so I chose this stamp, "Mallards", from Pattie's Creations.  It's clean and simple with no fuss.

The challenge this September is Anything Goes.

The image was colored with Copics and the paper is from my stash.  Lord knows I have more stash than I know what to do with but can't bear to get rid of any of it.....

Three Fishing Mice

I'm back to taking classes from Alyce at Kit and Clowder.  This class is June 2019 and the digi stamp is from Di's Digi Stamps named "3 Fishing Mice".  I have to really like an image to feel like I want to color it and I fell in love with these adorable mice.  The classes cover so many different techniques, that like the image or not, it's the techniques that are important that you learn from each class.  This image is colored with Copics and made into a card.

Frolicking Frosty

Frolicking Frosty is skating thru the snow and ice to meet his sweetie. Notice that big grin on his face. I just love this image that is from Heartfelt Creations as is the sentiment and background stamps with matching dies from the Frolicking Frosty Collection.  You can barely see the glittery snow on Frosty, the snowflakes and the snow but it is showing up some.

Reindeer Christmas

Adding to my Christmas card stash with this adorable stamped reindeer and sled from Heartfelt Creations Merry Little Christmas Collection.  It was colored with chalk inks as was the poinsettia.  Lots of glitter was added to give it that wintery look.  Too bad the glitter and shine isn't showing up.

Kissin' Xmas

Hi Everyone,  Here I am with another Christmas Card for my list.   I thought this adorable image from LOTV was something I just had to color.   Things seem to be rolling along pretty good and I'm back to taking coloring lessons from Alyce at Kit and Clowder.  It's like starting all over when you haven't colored for so long.  I have all my lessons from the past several years and they are so helpful.      I have a ways to go though before I'm back to where I was 3 years ago but I'm enjoying the challenge.

Under The Sea Treasure

The challenge and theme this month at Pattie's Creations Challenge Blog is #173, Beach/Under the Sea.  You don't have to use one of Pattie's images but we love it when you do and you can find them here!

Our challenge starts on the first Friday of the month, August 7, and ends Thursday, September 3, 2020, at 1:00 pm EST.  Hope to see your lovely creations in our gallery. Remember, only 3 entries per person.

I used Copics to color the image, added Stickles, Liquid Pearls, and Liquid Gold for the gems and coins.  Colored the background with Distress Inks and added sand to the bottom of the sea.  The paper is from my stash and I have no idea where it came from. The flowers on the card are made by me and are also from my stash.
Be sure to hop on over to Pattie's Creations to see what amazing creations the design team have to share with you.  Also, be sure and pick up the freebie from Pattie.

Going Golfing

Since I come from a family of avid golfers I thought this would be appropriate for a birthday card for my son-in-law as he will probably spend the day golfing with his boys.
If not that day, then on the weekend.
I just love this image but I can't remember where I got him.  He is LOTV and thanks to those of you that let me know.  If anyone knows where this little guy came from please let me know so I can give due credit,  He is colored with Copics and the going golfing is cut out on my friends Cricuit.  I forgot how to use my Silhouette so she was kind enough to help me out.
Boy, I'm never taking this long of break again! lol
I used a doily from one of my dies and the sentiment stamp from my stash.

Winter, Cardinals, & Pinecones

Here I am again with another card using Heartfelt Creations Snowy Pine Collection. I love Cardinals, especially in the winter time when they sit on the snowy branches of the tress or on the top of the mailbox.

The image was colored with Memento ink and I added Dries White Art Glue for the snow then Crystal Glitter to give it that glistening look.  The pine cones were colored with Copics.  The sentiment is also part if the Snowy Pine Collection.  I love the new Luxe gold paper from HFC which I cut out the frame for the cardinals and the sentiment.

Thought I would show the inside of the card because that finishes it.  The sentiment and paper are also from the Snowy Pine Collection.

Football Season is Coming

In looking around for challenges I came across the Always Fun Challenges blog and they have a challenge going on right now, "Anything but a card".   Today I just finished my Diamond Dotz Chief's helmet project (getting ready for Chief's football) and thought I'd share it with you.  This is for my son-in-law's birthday in August.  He's never on the computer so I'm safe sharing.

Kreative Kreations has all football team helmets if you think you'd like to make one of your favorite team.  It's one of those hobbies where your mind is blank while you are adhering the dots.  I've needed those days where a blank mind was a good thing,,,,,,lol

Enjoy and I'll see you again soon.

Has it really been 3 years since I've posted anything?  My life has changed so very much in the last 3 1//2 years.  My son and his significant other now live with me, at my request.  My husband has not been well and is suffering from a brain injury he received in Vietnam in the 60's.  He was blown up in a tank, more than once, and has a brain injury that did not show up until just the last 10 years.  That brain injury has caused dementia and he is no longer able to care for himself, nor am I able to care for him, as he needs around the clock care with total assistance.  Now you know why I haven't been around much.  I've spent much of my time going back and forth between the VA home and home. With Covid-19 so prevalent I can no longer go for outside visits and we are back to visiting between windows and doors and not very often.

I'm really wanting to get back into card making and crafting again.  I miss all my crafting friends and creating fun projects.  Maybe I'll even try out for a design team again just to keep me motivated.  I've got to check out what blogs are still active since I've been gone so long and what design blogs are having challenges.

I hope you'll bear with me as I  strive to get back into your world.

With much love & hugs,
Granny Carol
