Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Maybe I'll get my Christmas cards done early this year for a change.  I've been using a lot of Heartfelt Creation Collections lately and here is another one from the Snow Kissed Collection.  The paper is from Snow Kissed as is this adorable snowman called Frockling Frosty and the Spruce Tree stamps which were cut out with the  matching dies.  I used Copics for coloring but did use green cardstock for the trees.  The sentiment is from the Merry Little Christmas Collection.

The snow was created with  Ranger Texture Paste, Art Glue Dries White and Crystal Glitter.

Challenges I'm entering:
Sweet Stamping - Christmas in July
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Christmas in July Week 4
    CHNC Challenge - Anything Goes
Try Stampin Or Not on Tuesday - Christmas in July

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon.

Winter, Cardinals, & Pinecones

Here I am again with another card using Heartfelt Creations Snowy Pine Collection. I love Cardinals, especially in the winter time when they sit on the snowy branches of the tress or on the top of the mailbox.

The image was colored with Memento ink and I added Dries White Art Glue for the snow then Crystal Glitter to give it that glistening look.  The pine cones were colored with Copics.  The sentiment is also part if the Snowy Pine Collection.  I love the new Luxe gold paper from HFC which I cut out the frame for the cardinals and the sentiment.

Thought I would show the inside of the card because that finishes it.  The sentiment and paper are also from the Snowy Pine Collection.

Winter in the Country

Blue is one of my favorite colors for winter cards so I used blue cardstock for the base of this cool winter scene.
Got to play with my Copics for a change and am really pleased with how this turned out.  Was so much fun coloring again!
The image is from Heartfelt Creations Snowy Pine Collection and cut out with the Snowy Pine Cabin Scene Die.
Other die used was the Ornate Oval Die.
Copics:  YG63, YG67,  E53,  E55, E23, E25, E27, R35. R39, B21, B23, C0, C2, C4, C6, C8, C10, 0
The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Candlelight Collection, stamped and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  Love the blue and silver combination.

I'm so excited, I created my first Christmas card of 2020 and am entering it into some
fun challenges this week.  Hope you will play along with me.
The sketch #564 was used as the base from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The card is 6 x 6 square.
Then I made the pretty poinsettia flower using Heartfelt Creations Large Sparkling Poinsettia stamp and die set that had been stamped with Stampabilities Embossing Ink, embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder, and added the gold Rose Hip Large Stamen.
The papers are from Heartfelt's new Snowy Pine Collection as is the sentiment.

Football Season is Coming

In looking around for challenges I came across the Always Fun Challenges blog and they have a challenge going on right now, "Anything but a card".   Today I just finished my Diamond Dotz Chief's helmet project (getting ready for Chief's football) and thought I'd share it with you.  This is for my son-in-law's birthday in August.  He's never on the computer so I'm safe sharing.

Kreative Kreations has all football team helmets if you think you'd like to make one of your favorite team.  It's one of those hobbies where your mind is blank while you are adhering the dots.  I've needed those days where a blank mind was a good thing,,,,,,lol

Enjoy and I'll see you again soon.

Has it really been 3 years since I've posted anything?  My life has changed so very much in the last 3 1//2 years.  My son and his significant other now live with me, at my request.  My husband has not been well and is suffering from a brain injury he received in Vietnam in the 60's.  He was blown up in a tank, more than once, and has a brain injury that did not show up until just the last 10 years.  That brain injury has caused dementia and he is no longer able to care for himself, nor am I able to care for him, as he needs around the clock care with total assistance.  Now you know why I haven't been around much.  I've spent much of my time going back and forth between the VA home and home. With Covid-19 so prevalent I can no longer go for outside visits and we are back to visiting between windows and doors and not very often.

I'm really wanting to get back into card making and crafting again.  I miss all my crafting friends and creating fun projects.  Maybe I'll even try out for a design team again just to keep me motivated.  I've got to check out what blogs are still active since I've been gone so long and what design blogs are having challenges.

I hope you'll bear with me as I  strive to get back into your world.

With much love & hugs,
Granny Carol
