Rapunzel Daydreams Amongst the Flowers

Here is my 1 layer, masked DT card  for this weeks challenge over at For Fun Challenges.  I just love this digi image from Elizabeth Bell and couldn't wait to color her.  I also used two stamps from Whiff of Joy, Fall Grass and Fence.  The blue bird on the fence is a free digi image from Rosebud's Craft Store. Isn't he just the cutest!!

DP is from Basic Grey. Copics were used to color the images and Spica pens were used to give it a little bling on all of the flowers. MS Punch was used to give the card a little more depth. Please let me know if you would like a list of the copics used.

What a crazy week it's been in this household. Son wrecked the Benz, Sparkey (Minature Silver Schnauzer) got an eye infection from his allergies, had to take hubby to VA, the house is still a disaster and even more now than it was, the kitchen cabinets got delivered but they are unboxed sitting in the kitchen (no longer empty now), got news the counter top won't be in until 6/22 so that means almost another month without an operational kitchen.........GGRRR  Just thought I'd share these little tidbits and I could add a lot more but by now you got the picture.  Therefore, no crafting has been done except for my DT card this week and for that I apologize.  Haven't even gotten to be on the computer long enough to get around and visit you all and I'm so missing everyone!!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon. Life will return to some sanity before long and I will be able to get back to my commitment of 3 posts per week and hopefully more.  As always your comments are really special to me and I do read each and every one of them.

1- color- pink or red, green, blue and yellow
2- sketch #2
3- technique card. Step card.
4. Be brave mix ALL 3. See what turns out.
You pick the challenge you wish to do.

As most of you know by now, Elizabeth Bell is one of my fav illustrators and I just adore her stamps. This one is Pat-A-Cake digi stamp and is only available on her web site. Each month she has a new image available and if you haven't checked the site out yet, you are really missing out on some adorable images.
New this month is Little Rapunzel. I can't wait to color her.

OMG, I'm writing a book tonight........LOL  Enough ramblings for now!
Thanks so very much for stopping by and I really hope to see you again soon. If you have the time I'd sure appreciate a comment from you so I can hop on over and visit your blog. My time has been sparse lately but you are always in my thoughts and if I  haven't gotten by to visit lately, please let me know. I do try to keep up with your beautiful designs and what's happening on your blog.

Magical Monday - CAS Card

This is just about as CAS as I can get.......still had to add Frosted Lace Stickles to the prima flowers for that extra bling I can't seem to pass up, and Flower Soft to the flowers in the image. Ribbon is from stash, colored the flower stems with Copics YG13, YG63, YG67.

Special thanks to Sue for the great challenge and to Nina for the "Softly Afloat" image.  I always love participating in the challenges at "There's Magic In The Air"

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon. Please leave me a comment if you have the time so I can hop on over to visit your blog for a little eye candy.

MoJo Monday #138

Hi, hope you all are having a great Sunday!! Didn't vary much from the sketch this week and kept it pretty simple.  What in the world would we all do without sketches to keep our brain challenged?? I think my mind would probably go into "card block" like some writers go into "writers block"..lol

I've been too chatty lately and need to get another post done tonight but I want to be sure and thank Julee for this great sketch over at MoJo Monday.

DP is Basic Grey Granola - Image is digi "Rachel Angel" by Elizabeth Bell and colored with Copics. I used Pixie Dust Shimmerz on her wings but it's not showing up in this pic. Guess you can tell I still don't have my light box completed.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll pop in again soon. I've tried to get around to see everyone but if I've missed you, please forgive me.  If you have the time to leave me a comment I'll be sure and pop on over to visit and see what's new with you.

Dust Off Your Stamps & Some Exciting News

I've just been dying to let you all know that I have been chosen to be on my first Design Team ever and I'm sooooooooo very excited.

Helen at For Fun Challenges has added to her Design Team and I'm lucky enough to be one of those she has chosen.  I hope you will play along with us this week.  I look forward to seeing your name on Mr. Linky and hopping on over to visit to see your fantastic entry.

The challenge this week is "Dust Off Your Stamps"  along with a recipe. Sorry, NO DIGI's! Your entry can be anything you choose that includes 1 image, 2 colors with black or white, and 3 embellies. This was a really good challenge for me since the digi images are the ones I've been using the most lately and my poor rubber stamps have been tucked away in a drawer.

Here is my card for my first challenge as a DT.  I hope ya all like it!

Recipe:  Image: Whiff Of Joy Willow with Lantern
DP is DCWV All Dressed Up Stack and black is Bazzill cardstock
             Spellbinders Classic Oval
Prima flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Silver Stickles added to flowers and
scroll that I cut out on my Cricut
             Copics: E00, E51, E000, R20 - Y38, Y32 - G29, G24, G21

Blessings for Gail, Selma's Niece

If you all haven't visited Selma's blog lately, please check out her request for cards for her very ill niece.  Gail is suffering from stage 4 cancer and Selma would like for everyone to send her a card to help cheer her and the family up.  I always struggle with what to say because my husband has stage 4 cancer (now in remission) and the only way we have gotten through the last 2 years is through prayer and faith and warm wishes.

This was a pretty plain and simple card for me because I didn't want anything to detract from the sentiment of the card. I have several little angels that have been blessed to include on cards for special people and this is one of those occasions. The stamp and sentiment are from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I've had this image colored with Copics for quite some time and don't remember what colors I used.

I'm sharing my card with you, which I mailed earlier today, except for what I have written on the inside, which is personal for Gail and her family.  I hope you will check out Selma's blog and find the time to send Gail a card along with your prayers.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. May God bless you all, keep you safe and well.

Poppin In To Say "HELLO"

Hi Everyone..  Happy Friday

Just popped in for a few to say "Hi" and let you know
I'm in a disaster zone.......

My house has been full of workmen, kids, friends.......etc. so I haven't been able to get any cards made for the past few days.  My heart definitely goes out to Sylvia because we are both in the same mess with our kitchens and our house.  This will be a quiet weekend, as far as I know now, so I hope to get several cards ready for daily posts this next week, if not sooner.

Haven't had a chance to get around to visit any of you this week but that's a must do for the weekend. I miss seeing all of your beautiful creations and inspiration so expect to see me soon.

Missing and thinking of you all!  "Hugs" Granny

For Fun Challenges with an Elizabeth Bell Digi Image

Don't ya just love this digi stamp!  She is titled "A Tasty Read" by Elizabeth Bell and is available here.  She also has other digi stamps so be sure to check them all out.  I've gotten to where I'm almost always cutting out my stamps and attaching them with dimensionals. Probably because I haven't been able to get the background airbrushed to my liking.  Oh well, I like the dimension it adds and think it puts more emphasis on the image....

Thanks to Helen for this great sketch over at For Fun Challenges

Recipe: DP Basic Grey Sugar Rush Pad
Again, sorry! No copics list because I colored her awhile back
Sentiment from Inkadinkado stamped in Black Memento Ink
Flowers were cut out using EZ flower punch, medium and small.
Spellbinders classic oval and scalloped dies
Ribbon and brads from stash

Thanks so much for stopping and I hope you leave me a comment to let me know you were here so I can come visit to see
what's happening in your world.

Got MoJo?

Thank goodness I'm back to one on one challenges.  Here is my card for the sketch this week over at

This image and tree have been colored using Copics but I can't find my list of what I used.  Sorry! I colored her several months ago and just found her patiently waiting to be put to good use. Tried to touch her up a bit since I've been practicing and taking a class on coloring. Let me tell ya, paper makes a big difference in how your copics blend.  I don't use this paper anymore and I'm not liking the way it turned out.
DP is Basic Grey stash, SU Old Olive, Creative Memories
The images, Willow in the Summer Breeze and Citrus Tree are from
The apples were cut on my Cricut using Plantin Schoolbook cartridge
Rose flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts
Sentiment was computer generated

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon. If you have time to leave me a comment I'll be sure to hop over and see what's new in your world.

New Eyes and "THANK YOU!"

Just a quick post from me tonight or should I say early morning here. Got my new glasses today - Praise the LORD.  The lab found a frame that would fit my old lenses for $75, and can you believe, I like this pair better than the frames I'd picked out for the new ones that I would never have picked out myself.........LOL  Only thing is that I've had a terrible headache since getting them and spent most of the afternoon in bed trying to get over it.  Guess it's just my eyes trying to adjust after wearing those old ones with the frame not quite right for over a week.

I want to thank all of you that have become followers of my blog and left such wonderful comments on the Blogoversary Post.  If you had a blog or email address that was accessible, I tried to get around to all of you to thank you personally and have become a follower of your blog.  If I've missed anyone, please let me know because it was quite by accident and not my intention.  I sincerely appreciate you and hope that you will return often to visit and let me know you were here.

Some of my followers that have been with me from the start, stop by faithfully to visit, and leave comments, but did not leave a comment on the blogoversary announcement post, I am entering you in the candy draw because this was not only for new followers but ALL of my followers. Without you, your encouragement to grow, learn, and your inspiration, this blog would not exist. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wish you luck in the candy draw.

That's it from me tonight. I'm going to try and get some sleep instead of staying up all night.......lol
The name will be drawn tomorrow afternoon when everyone returns from church and will be announced no later than 8 pm CST.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!
"Hugs" Granny (Carol)
