This is a month where my husband and I celebrate our wedding anniversary of 35 years and both of our birthdays, so it's still a party month. I thought these little mice were so cute.

Used Copics for coloring and paper from my stash, stickles to decorate the packages and ribbon.

It's Anything Goes this month for the blog challenge and we hope to see you there.

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

Hugs, Granny Carol
CraftinGrannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11026888485420333443noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787735905858132628.post-70950988543816859762020-11-08T10:36:00.000-06:002020-11-08T10:36:09.955-06:00
Pattie Gomez is having a 30% off sale of all of her digital images, so for a great bargain on some pretty awesome images hop on over and help yourself.

Pattie's Creations Digital Images

The coupon code BOOP789.

Looking forward to seeing you at the sale.

Hugs, Granny Carol

CraftinGrannyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11026888485420333443noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787735905858132628.post-28803657941393824282020-11-05T23:00:00.026-06:002020-11-05T23:00:00.125-06:00Poinsettia Plant

Nothing prettier and more festive than a poinsettia plant during the holidays. With fall rapidly approaching and 3 male birthdays coming up I decided to make some masculine cards. Duck hunting comes with fall so I chose this stamp, "Mallards", from Pattie's Creations. It's clean and simple with no fuss.

The challenge this September is Anything Goes.

The image was colored with Copics and the paper is from my stash. Lord knows I have more stash than I know what to do with but can't bear to get rid of any of it.....

I'm back to taking classes from Alyce at Kit and Clowder. This class is June 2019 and the digi stamp is from Di's Digi Stamps named "3 Fishing Mice". I have to really like an image to feel like I want to color it and I fell in love with these adorable mice. The classes cover so many different techniques, that like the image or not, it's the techniques that are important that you learn from each class. This image is colored with Copics and made into a card.

Frolicking Frosty is skating thru the snow and ice to meet his sweetie. Notice that big grin on his face. Adding to my Christmas card stash with this adorable stamped reindeer and sled from Heartfelt Creations Merry Little Christmas Collection.
Hi Everyone, Here I am with another Christmas Card for my list. I thought this adorable image from LOTV was something I just had to color. Things seem to be rolling along pretty good and I'm back to taking coloring lessons from Alyce at Kit and Clowder. It's like starting all over when you haven't colored for so long. I have all my lessons from the past several years and they are so helpful. I have a ways to go though before I'm back to where I was 3 years ago but I'm enjoying the challenge.
I'm entering the following challenges:

Since I come from a family of avid golfers I thought this would be appropriate for a birthday card for my son-in-law as he will probably spend the day golfing with his boys.

If not that day, then on the weekend.

I just love this image but I can't remember where I got him. He is LOTV and thanks to those of you that let me know. If anyone knows where this little guy came from please let me know so I can give due credit, He is colored with Copics and the going golfing is cut out on my friends Cricuit. I forgot how to use my Silhouette so she was kind enough to help me out.

Boy, I'm never taking this long of break again! lol

Maybe I'll get my Christmas cards done early this year for a change. I've been using a lot of Heartfelt Creation Collections lately and here is another one from the Snow Kissed Collection. The paper is from Snow Kissed as is this adorable snowman called Frockling Frosty and the Spruce Tree stamps which were cut out with the matching dies. I used Copics for coloring but did use green cardstock for the trees. The sentiment is from the Merry Little Christmas Collection.

The snow was created with Ranger Texture Paste, Art Glue Dries White and Crystal Glitter.

Here I am again with another card using Heartfelt Creations Snowy Pine Collection. I love Cardinals, especially in the winter time when they sit on the snowy branches of the tress or on the top of the mailbox.

The image was colored with Memento ink and I added Dries White Art Glue for the snow then Crystal Glitter to give it that glistening look. The pine cones were colored with Copics. The sentiment is also part if the Snowy Pine Collection. I love the new Luxe gold paper from HFC which I cut out the frame for the cardinals and the sentiment.

Thought I would show the inside of the card because that finishes it. The sentiment and paper are also from the Snowy Pine Collection.
I'm so excited, I created my first Christmas card of 2020 and am entering it into some
fun challenges this week. Hope you will play along with me.

The sketch #564 was used as the base from Tuesday Morning Sketches. The card is 6 x 6 square.

Then I made the pretty poinsettia flower using Heartfelt Creations Large Sparkling Poinsettia stamp and die set that had been stamped with Stampabilities Embossing Ink, embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder, and added the gold Rose Hip Large Stamen.

The papers are from Heartfelt's new Snowy Pine Collection as is the sentiment.

Today I just finished my Diamond Dotz Chief's helmet project (getting ready for Chief's football) and thought I'd share it with you. This is for my son-in-law's birthday in August. He's never on the computer so I'm safe sharing.

Kreative Kreations has all football team helmets if you think you'd like to make one of your favorite team. It's one of those hobbies where your mind is blank while you are adhering the dots. I've needed those days where a blank mind was a good thing,,,,,,lol

Enjoy and I'll see you again soon.
Love & Hugs,
My life has changed so very much in the last 3 1//2 years. My son and his significant other now live with me, at my request. My husband has not been well and is suffering from a brain injury he received in Vietnam in the 60's. He was blown up in a tank, more than once, and has a brain injury that did not show up until just the last 10 years. That brain injury has caused dementia and he is no longer able to care for himself, nor am I able to care for him, as he needs around the clock care with total assistance. Now you know why I haven't been around much. I've spent much of my time going back and forth between the VA home and home. With Covid-19 so prevalent I can no longer go for outside visits and we are back to visiting between windows and doors and not very often.

I'm really wanting to get back into card making and crafting again. I miss all my crafting friends and creating fun projects. Maybe I'll even try out for a design team again just to keep me motivated. I've got to check out what blogs are still active since I've been gone so long and what design blogs are having challenges.

I hope you'll bear with me as I strive to get back into your world.

With much love & hugs,

Oh gee, I don't know if anyone is still following me because I've been MIA and not visiting anyone or posting anything. So much has changed in my life this past year and especially since January. I won't go into details BUT I'm hoping now to be posting and playing some in challenges.

I've been taking coloring lessons at Kit and Clowder since Alyce started teaching. Although I haven't finished any classes for awhile now I did just finish this months class. Quite rusty but fairly pleased with how it turned out. Will be making this into a card soon.

The image is by Moonflower, titled "Lilly The Dancing Princess" and you can get her HERE. I think she is gorgeous!

If you have the time to drop me a note I'd be more than appreciable and will drop by to visit to see what's been happening with you.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Can you believe it is almost July 4th? Where has this year gone? Each year seems to get shorter and shorter. Won't be long and we'll be wishing for summer again.

This month I've created a card using a pre-colored image by Kris of <span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: "georgia" , serif; line-height: 28px; white-space: pre-wrap;">Imagine That! Digis by Kris. I've used Red Nose Reindeer and you can get it here. Thought some of you that don't color but like to make cards could see what you can do with pre-colored images. You can be just as creative as if you colored the image yourself. So go ahead and get crafty and join us this week at CCAYR with Anything Goes as long as the theme is Christmas.
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: "georgia" , serif; line-height: 28px; white-space: pre-wrap;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: "georgia" , serif; line-height: 28px; white-space: pre-wrap;">Here is the inside of the card:

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "georgia" , serif; font-size: large;">I love these little reindeer's and hope you enjoy what I have shared with you today.
I still love the glitz!

Geez, it's been so long since I've posted that I've forgotten almost everything I knew about editing and adding to my blog.

As of July 1, I will become active with the Christmas Cards All Year Round Design Team. I've been trying to add all of the team members and their blogs for easy access for everyone, but for some reason the gadget isn't going where I want it to go, nor am I able to add Hazel and myself. Will get it figured out as time goes on and before July 1. Please bear with me while I try to get my blog updated.

If you are stopping by, please leave me a comment so I can come visit and get reacquainted with you. I've really missed blogging and so many of my dear friends. Do keep in touch with some of you on Facebook but so many of you aren't there.

Have a beautiful day and I look forward to visiting soon.

Love & Hugs, Carol (Granny)

Seems impossible that my last post was January 2015. Have not been crafting much except for taking coloring classes at Kit and Clowder, plus playing some with mixed media, and spending way too much time on Facebook.

This is one of the Mixed Media kits from a workshop I attended in Kansas City this past summer hosted by Scrapbook. The mixed media class was taught by Quick Quotes. All I need to do is add the picture and it is complete. Will be sharing the companion kit in another post later this week.

Not sure how many of you are still here but I'd love to hear what you think about this project. I haven't been around to visit your blogs but if you are on Facebook then I've been seeing you there. Since I plan to be playing again, other than just on FB, I hope to be posting more here.

Hope this finds all of you doing well, are healthy, happy, and busy crafting for the holidays. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

This adorable image "Green Moth Maiden" is from Ching-Chou-Kuik and a freebie for the Palette Challenge at Kit and Clowder Facebook page. She was so much fun and my first complete Copic colored image from taking the Skin and Hair class at Kit and Clowder. Hope you like her!

I'll use her in a card soon but for now I'm focusing on learning new coloring skills from Kit and Clowder. I have several classes downloaded to start and finish and I'm so excited to see such an improvement in my coloring.

Hope you are all having a wonderful day and I'll see you again soon.
