MoJo Monday 124 Contest

This was a really fun and easy card to put together. The image, "Heart Felt Hello" is by Nina May from There's Magic In The Air -Paper Cupcakes -  I'm still thinking about spring even with 2 inches of snow yesterday and another 3-6 inches forecast for tomorrow and Monday. I'm just thankful I don't live in Washington or Maryland right now. We've seen more snow in Missouri this year than we have in 20 years.

DP from Basic Grey Granola Paper Pad

Willow with Umbrella WOJ Challenge #64

Here I am wishing for Spring again and the beautiful flowers that will bloom in May. In searching through my  Whiff of Joy stamps I found Willow with Umbrella that had not been inked yet. I couldn't believe my eyes because I thought I inked up a page of the new stamps as soon as I got them. What memories she brings of the smell of warm spring rains.
The paper is from Paper Pizazz Vintage Pad that a friend just gave me (Thanks Diane). I fell in love with the design and color of the paper and sure wish I could find more vintage paper similiar to this. The base of the card is made from Bazzill (Peas) paper and the matt is Deep Blue from Creative Memories.  I used a combination of Distressed Ink Faded Jeans and Milled Lavendar for the background behind Willow. Flowers were made from that wonderful vintage paper and a MS branch punch. Embellishments are Dew Drops and Stardust Stickles. Below is a picture of the copics used:

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. Please leave me a comment so I can hop on over to your blog to see what's new. I read each and every comment on my posts and I sincerely appreciate all the kind words of inspiration.  See you again soon!

Magical Monday Gift Bag

I'm so excited!!! Tonight I learned how to make a gift bag and gift box, something I would probably never have done had it not been for this challenge.  Thanks so much to Nina for the wonderful "Think Love" digi from There's Magic In The Air.  Here are two views of the bag for you.  I was hoping to fill it up with candy to see what it looked like full, but can you believe it, there isn't one piece of candy anywhere in this house. So, tomorrow my mission is to stock up with yummy chocolates (like I need chocolate).
Thank heaven for You Tube and their tutorials. I do want to give credit to Michelle Sturgeon over at Come Stamp With Me for her 2007 Gift Bag Tutorial.  I would never have figured this out without her help.  I did modify the handle somewhat though.
Earlier tonight I downloaded a heart svg file from Dan over at My Crafty Life and that is where the tiny hearts with Xmas Red Stickles came from. It's Freebie #40, so if you hurry, you just might be able to get the heart border file and some hearts.
Items Used:  Spellbinder's Scalloped Heart Die - Copics - Xmas Red Stickles - Ribbon, gems, & paper from my stash - Creative Memories Heart Punch

I hope you enjoy my little creation as much as I enjoyed making it.  Thanks so much for stopping. If you'll leave me a comment I'll be over to visit before you know it.  Have a wonderful evening!!!!

2S4Y Help for Haiti

Phew, it's been a long week and I'm just now getting some posts done.  Thanks so much to Chrissy Armstrong over at Whimsey Stamps for this absolutely georgous digi stamp in support of the earthquake victims of Haiti.  All proceeds from the sale of this digi stamp will go to the American Red Cross for the earthquake disaster in Haiti.  What a wonderful way to help others!

This is also my challenge card for this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You. Paper is new from Kaiser Craft and I used Copics to color the Hope for Haiti digi. Stickles were used to add that extra bling I always have to have. Flowers are from my stash and are the bush leaves from MS punch.

I hope you enjoy and I do so appreciate your stopping by to visit.  If you'll leave me a short note I'll hop on over and see what's new on your blog.

Our Daily Bread Design Challenge 1 for 2010

Have to say this was one challenge I really enjoyed doing. Not only because I didn't have to color any images but it reminded me of just how important the love of God and my family are to me.  Plus, it only took me only an hour to do.  Don't you just love it when you can put something together so quickly that you think looks pretty good!

The challenge was to use brown and punches or dies and boy, did I do a lot of punching.

Paper is from Basic Gray Granola pad which I just received not too long ago and Mud Pie from Bazilla
Spellbinders Curved Rectangles Die - Sizzix Flourishes Die
Punches: 7/8" round and Paper Shapers Retro Flower Lg & Med
Pearl embellishments are from stash
Sure wish I could make bows like Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace. She is so talented!!

The days just seems to fly and there is just never as much time to play as I'd like. Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope you'll pop in again soon. Please be sure to leave me a comment so I can hop over and visit your blog.  I love seeing your new creations.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Phew, think I'm going to get this one in on time but I missed getting to use this card for the Curtain Call Color Challenge.  Just glad to be able to get it posted to the PaperTake Weekly Challenge  blog.

This was a fun challenge for me as I dug out my Spellbinders dies that I seldom take the time to use. Chose this winter stamp as I thought it would work for Valentine's Day as it is still "winter" here.  The paper is Basic Grey and the ribbons laced through the boarderability is from my stash. The rose is from Prima and the branches are from MS punch.  I diverted away from the sketch a little but thought I came pretty close.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and I hope to see you again soon.  If you have time to leave me a comment I'll pop on over and pay you a visit.  "Hugs" Granny

Mojo Monday Week 121 Challenge

Just a quick post tonight to say "HI" and let you know I haven't been doing nothing!!  LOL  Not sure if these still qualify for the challenges as I might have missed getting them posted but at least they are done and I may get lucky after I finish posting them.

I used Whiff of Joy stamps, DP but I don't remember from where, and the following copics: (sorry about the quality of this picture but too late to change now)

Thanks so very much for stopping by and if you'll leave me a comment I'll hop on over and visit you.
Have a wonderful week!  "Hugs" Granny
