Cupid Girl Is On Her Way

Hi Everyone,  I got so absorbed in my new Copics class and practicing some new techniques and color combinations I've not checked in for a few days to see what's going on or play in any challenges.  Me bad!
I've used some of the new shading techniques (for me they are new), new color combinations.

Got this adorable image I from The Paper Shelter along with some digi papers to make a thank you card for a dear friend of mine who doesn't like a lot of fuss and boy, was it hard not to really embellish this cutie.  Oh how I'm lovin these adorable and whimsical images.  They are so fun to work with!  The previous card I created using one of their digi's made Top 5 at Creatalicious Challenges.  Judy emailed me today to let me know and I was in 7th heaven.  Thank you CC for choosing my card for Top 5 and thanks Judy for letting me know.

Enough rattling for now and on to the card deets:
  • Image/Sentiment - Cupid Girl - The Paper Shelter  (sentiment inside)
  • DP - The Paper Shelter, Teal from stash
  • Medium - Copics:  Skin: E13, 11, 00, R20 - Clothes: RV06, 04, 02, 00, and Heart - Hair: YR 24, 31 Y21, 11, 00:  Glasses: BG13, 11, 000; Lens - C4, 2, 00, added Diamond Glaze for glass shine - Bow: E25, 23.  Aqua Spica Pen - Light Gray Chalk for cloud accents
  • Heart Doily with Teal DP
  • Flowers were cut from DP and shaped
That's pretty much everything about the card.  I am entering this in the following challenges:
There's Magic In The Air - Use an image with a heart
Flutter By Wednesday - Bright Colors, butterfly, angel, or fairy
7 Kids College Fund - Something new, technique, style, or product

Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.
Hope you are having a fantastic weekend!  I'll be by soon to visit.
"Love & Hugs", Carol (Granny)

Hi ya doll! Super job coloring. How fun are Copic coloring classes? I had classes with the awesome Miss Suzanne Dean. WOW she really crams so much into her classes but makes it a whole lot of fun. If she comes to my area again I'll be sure to take her classes again. Just for a refresher and lets face it things alway improve with new techniques and such.
Your card is certainly gorgeous and your coloring/shading is fabulous. Keep up the good work of new color combo's and techniques!
Awesome job dauling!

Hi Carol--I know its been a few, if not several, months since I have commented on your cards. I just got away from the hobby for a while and had to visit your blog. Your cards are always nothing short of something special, and this one does not disappoint. This piece has a fun, upbeat and whimsical way about it, and I know that my daughter would go "ga-ga" over it.
