Side-step Winter and an Announcement

March is going to be a FANTASTIC month, coming in like a LION here and I hope going out like a LAMB!!  We have 6-10" of snow forecast for Saturday and Sunday. I'm sure I'm not the only one sick of winter and snow, but it is what it is, and soon we can complain about the heat of summer...

Our challenge at Christmas Cards All Year Round this month is "Step Cards".  I chose to make a side-step card and used my Silhouette Cameo (for the first time) to cut it out.  OMG, it's so easy that I went crazy cutting out step-cards and now just need to embellish them.  I think I'm going to like my Cameo a lot better than I did my Cricut.  The image is a My Besties image colored with Copics. These cuties have captured my heart.  The flowers are from Prima.  The two trees, sleigh and reindeer are from Southern Ridge Trading Company and have been coated with Gesso, added some snow and Diamond Dust. Finally got to use a couple of the pine cones from Canada and my sweet friend Eulanda..  The DP is from SU.

I hope you will join us this month.  Be sure to stop by the CCAYR Challenge Blog and see the amazing designs by my wonderful DT sisters who have put up with me being sick and MIA for a long while.  They have stood by me and encouraged me while I've gotten better.  They are a wonderful and caring group to be a part of and I want to thank them all so very much.

Bingo at Elphine House Australia

We have such a fun challenge for you at Elphine House Australia this fortnight.  Let's play "Bingo"!  Use any THREE in a row.  I used Die Cuts, Flowers and Ribbon.

My internet is finally fixed and I sure hope it stays this way.  Not only has it been challenging to comment and visit but I've spent most of the last 3 days on the couch struggling to breath with all this humidity and feeling my heart going 100 mph.....  Oh if only I had listened several years ago and quit smoking sooner.  I know, I did it to myself, it was never going to happen to me!!! If there is anything I can ever do to help just one person quit smoking, for sure, I'm here to help.  Don't be another one of those people who says or thinks, "that won't happen to me", because one day it will.

Think I must be going though Christmas card withdrawal as I haven't made any for over a month. Here it is almost July and I'm way behind on getting my cards made.  I hope you like this cause I sure had a lot of fun making it.

"Welcome Little One"

This post is a few hours early because we have been having a lot of storms and power outages and without power for several hours at a time.

For those of you living in the USA, I hope you had a pleasant Memorial Day and were able to pay tribute to loved ones and to those in the military who so bravely defend our freedoms and our country.  We spent a quiet day planting flowers and getting some of my pots planted.  Last year I was so ill that I didn't get anything done in the yard, no flowers planted, and no pots planted, nothing......I really enjoyed the beautiful day and accomplishing something!

Our challenge at Elphine House Australia this date is, "Welcome Little One" .  You have two (2) weeks to joins us.....you MUST use an Elisabeth Bell stamp to be eligible for the prize. This adorable stamp reminds me of my grandsons and how much they enjoy their children.  You can get It's a Boy stamp HERE.

Card Recipe:
