Layers and Die Cuts

Can you believe it's already the middle of May?  I'm trying to figure out where the first 4 months of the year have gone.  Beginning to think I'm in some kind of a time warp where time fleeting passes by and I have no clue what happened or where it went...

The wonderful challenge at Elphine House Australia this fortnight is Layers and Die Cuts.  The only other stipulation is that you MUST use an Elisabeth Bell image from one of the on-line stores or a digi from the Digi Store to quality for the prize.  Hope you will join us for this fun challenge.  Be sure to head on over to the EHA Challenge Blog for all the details and to see the gorgeous cards and designs by the team.

The inspiration for this card came from Alyce Keegan of Kit and Clowder, and with her permission, I used the sketch from her blog.  I've been working with her tutorials for coloring Copics, love her style, and the depth of her coloring.  As you can see, I need a lot more practice to even get close to what she teaches.  She has some wonderful tutorials on You Tube if you are interested.  Thank you Alyce!

Whimsy Stamps - Anything Goes
Live & Love Crafts - 50 Shades of Lilac
Sandy's Crafty Creations - Anything Goes, 3 or More Flowers

Oh Christmas Tree

OOPS!  I'm a little late getting this posted. Sorry!

Our challenge this month at Christmas Cards All Year Round is all about trees.  In other words, we want to see a tree included on your card either in your paper, a shape, a die, or whatever you chose as long as as we can see a Christmas tree somewhere.

I chose to keep my card really simple this month and cut a tree out on my Cricut.  Then I found this "Oh Christmas Tree" paper in my stash and thought what an easy peasy card this would make.  Added the stamped and die cut cardinals from HFC and the pine branches from Cherry Lynn and behold, my CAS card with no coloring, no bling, and no glitz.  Oh, so not like me......feeling naked here....LOL

Challenge:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas - Christmas Carol or Song

The prize for this challenge is two (2) cling mount stamps from Platypus Creek Stamps:

My wonderful teamies have some awesome cards to share with you so I hope you'll hop on over to Christmas Cards All Year Round and see the innovative and lovely creations they have made to share with you.  They really are a fantastic group!

Have a wonderful week and I'll see you again tomorrow evening with a new post.

Close up of Bell - she is colored with Copics, stickles for her boot snowballs and Polar White Flower Soft for the fur.  I think she is just precious but then I think All EB's images are precious....

Close up of flower arrangement using flowers from WOC with two small hearts from the die I've used on the side.
