Taking A 3 Month Break To Get Well

I have been debating hard and long about this and after deep thought and discussions with friends and family I've decided to agree with the doctor and take 3 months off from stress and just try to get healthy.  I've smoked for almost 60 years and did not realize the damage that had been done to my lungs until I got bronchitis this time.  I knew I had COPD and emphysema but it never bothered me.until I got so sick over a month ago. I have absolutely no energy and can hardly breathe and I need to work on getting my lungs up to a capacity to where I can function again.

YEAH!!!! NO CIGARETTES IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.....
AND I HOPE NEVER AGAIN.....1 DAY AT A TIME

Will not be shutting my blog down and will be around to visit when I get a chance as I plan to try and keep in touch with my followers, it just will not be often.  Hoping I feel like creating some cards soon but so far, I just don't have the energy. Keeping you all in thought, love, and prayers.  May this Mother's Day be the best ever for you, spent with family and close friends.

"Love & Hugs"

Wishing you alll the best Carol, yes a 3 month break sounds likek a very good idea. I too have smoked for 47 years and have switched to e-cigs and not smoked a single cigarette for 1 month and a day now. My hubby also has COPD and switching to e-cigs has really improved his breathing and health....so I wish you all the best.

Hi Carol. I just jumped over to your blog today and saw your goal to quit smoking. BRAVO for you!!! It is such a hard thing to do. But a tough attitude and great support really helped me. I didn't have any local support so I was luck to find an on-line support site called QuitNet... www.quitnet.com. This 6/20 I will celebrate 5 years of not smoking. And through the really tough times, QuitNet was there. All you have to do is post "HELP" and many will run to your rescue. You may not go in for that type of thing, but it was exactly what I needed and helped me be successful when I thought I never would be. Whatever you chose... go get 'em!! You CAN do this!! (sorry I went on so long!!)
Hugs,
Denise

Bless your heart - you've been feeling poorly now, for too long! Please take whatever time you need and get better. We will be here when you get back! I will lift you up in prayer, both for good health, and for the willpower to quit smoking. Good for you, my friend! My dear mom quit cold turkey, when our DD was born with breathing problems. It was either quit, or never get to see the grandbaby. I know it was so hard for her to do that, but she did, and you can to! I believe in you! Hugs...

Good luck to you. It is hard but it can be done. I quit 21 yrs. ago and have had very little illness since that time. I used to have bronchitis every year. I know you can do it!

Carol, I just sent you snail mail today! Of course you have to take care of yourself first. I know that if you want to quit (for yourself not cause somebody else wants you to) you'll be able to do it. I know how hard it is...done it a couple of times! We'll be here when you get back. Till then we'll be thinking of you.
Take care of yourself...
Hugs,

Carol, I'm so sorry to hear about your breathing problems. I too need to quit - I've done it a few times before, but lately the stress has got the better of me. Take care of yourself and hope you get better soon. We will be here when you are ready to come back.

I'm right there in wishing you the best, Carol. I quit smoking 5 years ago and it was the hardest, but best thing I've ever done! It took a while for the breathing to improve but it's much better now. I'll be keeping you in my prayers and I'll miss your wonderful creations. Hugz.

Hi Carol, I am so very sorry to read of your health issues. I hope you are able to relax and grow well again, let people help and look after you... a bit of pampering. Take life a bit slower till you are on your feet again. I hope this will be a good week for you.

Oh Hunnie, Didn't realize you were so poorly. I have really missed not seeing you on my blog, popped over today to see you, and I'm really sad to hear you are not well. My Mum was a smoker for over 60 years and gave it up after the doctor said she had an infection of the lung..she stopped there and then and has not looked back since, it's been 10 years now. You can do it, I know you can...
Your in my thoughts and prayers hun
Take care...
Biggest hugs,
