Finally figured out how to post in Google Chrome. Oh Geez! Sometimes life can be so challenging...LOL

This is gonna be quick cause I got to get up at 5:30 a.m. Don't remember getting up this early since I retired but I'm sure at one point or the other I have. Everything used on this card is from my stash and the image is from the Spring Kit 2010 by Elisabeth Bell, collection for Whiff of Joy. Colored with Copics.

Totally Confused - Testing

Just a quick post to let you know I'm having nightmare computer problems. Could not leave comments on various blogs and was being told IE does not support some features in Blogger. SOOOOOOO, I downloaded and installed Mozilla, still had the same problem. Now I've downloaded Google Chrome and finally able to stop by and leave one comment this morning. This has been going on for several days now so if I haven't been by, you know why.

Will be taking my laptop in to get it checked out to make sure I don't have a lot of conflicting problems with it along with the desktop too which is even worse condition........LOL Boy, when I screw something up I'm really good at it. I need a live-in computer technician! Going have to figure out Chrome now. Be back with a card later today if nothing goes wrong here.

Cupid Girl Is On Her Way

Hi Everyone, I got so absorbed in my new Copics class and practicing some new techniques and color combinations I've not checked in for a few days to see what's going on or play in any challenges. Me bad!

I've used some of the new shading techniques (for me they are new), new color combinations.

Got this adorable image I from The Paper Shelter along with some digi papers to make a thank you card for a dear friend of mine who doesn't like a lot of fuss and boy, was it hard not to really embellish this cutie. Oh how I'm lovin these adorable and whimsical images. They are so fun to work with! The previous card I created using one of their digi's made Top 5 at Creatalicious Challenges. Judy emailed me today to let me know and I was in 7th heaven. Thank you CC for choosing my card for Top 5 and thanks Judy for letting me know.

Happy Sunday Evening!! What a glorious weekend it has been. Went to Kansas City yesterday and did some shopping then met the kids at a fantastic Italian restaurant named Bravo's to celebrate our anniversary. We ate, opened our gifts, and got to play with Lilly the whole time. Took a short walk around to see the gorgeous Christmas Tree and lights on every tree on the streets. The weather was so mild and it was such a beautiful evening. Ok, enough about that..........lol

Polka Dot Girl - Spots & Stripes

I've always thought Karen at Karen's Doodles (spots & stripes challenge) had the cutest children images along with many others so I decided to start using the ones I have. Amazing how many digi's we collect and then they sit idle on our computers cause we get distracted easily, at least I do......lol Nope, no New Year's resolutions by me cause I never seem able to keep them. So, I've set some goals for this year, short term, cause life has a way of getting in the way sometimes. I had planned to enter this into the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge but the link was closed, (sobs) another missed opportunity.

I've had this DP for ages and apologize for not remembering where I got it. The copper is left over from my grandsons wedding invitations 2 years ago. What does that tell ya.....Yep, guess you could say I'm a paper hoarder. Colored with Copics, added a doily, flower, and gems from my stash and a Cheery Lynn flourish die. Lots of stickles so I hope you can see the glitter and the shine of the copper in the DP.

Fun Is Just a Tub of Bubbles

Most of you all have probably heard the saying, song, or whatever, "Life is just a bowl of cherries". This song has been playing in my head the whole time I was putting this card together and I don't even know any other words to it....Hence, the cherry charm. I changed the words to "Fun is just a tub of bubbles" to go with the image for a birthday that's coming up in January.

I've had this Elisabeth Bell image ever since it came out and had it colored for ages. Thought it would fit with a couple of challenges I wanted to play in, and they are:

Elphine House - Around We Go (circles)

So meet "Duckie" by Elisabeth. You can get him HERE. Duckie is colored with Copics. The DP is a combination of SU, Basic Grey, and Bo Bunny. The sentiment is computer generated and I used SB circle and scalloped circle dies. Ribbon is from stash.

This is one fantastic lady that works so diligently with her clients in sharing her talents and knowledge. White on White Christmas Card

Almost December everyone and time to get those Christmas cards done and ready to mail. Hope this is a little inspiration to get you going and inspired. The challenge this month at CCAYR is a sketch challenge and you can find it here. Sure hope to see some cards there by you all cause I need some inspiration for next month...LOL Really, I would love to see you play along with us cause it gives me another reason to come visit and see what's new with you.

The card stock is SU Whisper White with gold metallic behind the die frame by Cheery Lynn along with one of the Christmas tree dies by them. I added lace around the edges of the frame and used poinsettia dies from HFC along with silver German Glitter Glass for the center. The star on the top and the ribbon for the bow is from stash.

November CCAYR Sketch Challenge

The challenge this month at Christmas Cards All Year Round is a sketch challenge, no twists, nothing difficult, and one we hope you you like. Remember there are only 40 days until the post office wants you to have your cards mailed so they arrive at their destination on time. Now that's scarey.....what's worse is Christmas is only 55 days away.........YIKES!!! Better get hopping on those cards or you'll be making a quick dash to somewhere to catch up.

Planting Some Love

Gee, can you believe it's Wednesday already and the first week of November. I don't know about you all but our weather is crazy here. Yesterday it was almost 80 and today it's in the 50's, rainy, possibly snow tonight, and colder than I'd prefer.... Needed a break from Christmas cards and I had never colored this adorable image from Bells'n Whistles so decided to "think" spring cause I'm not a big fan of winter.

I made this card for 2 challenges today, Bells'n Whistles Pins and Pearls Challenge and Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge, Pink, Purple, Pearls, and Pretties.

The stamped image is from Bells'n Whistles by Elisabeth Bell named "Planting Some Love". Flowers are WOC as is the metal corner and pins. She is colored with Copics. The butterflies are a MS Butterfly Punch with pearls from stash added. The bows on each side of the sentiment are also from stash. Don't have a clue what paper pack the DP is out of but I think it's from Kaiser Kraft. So dark and dreary here and apologize the picture is not all that great. Light Box is on my Christmas Wish List...

It's A Sketch Challenge at CCAYR

What a fun time I had with this card. Decided to try something a little different for me with these HFC stamps I got a CKC. Oh how I'm lovin these new stamps and what you can do with them. The workshops were so much fun and for sure you will be seeing all of the new stamps I got before years end.

The challenge this month at CCAYR is a sketch challenge and if you'll hop on over to the challenge blog you'll see what an easy sketch they have for you this month and some wonderful inspiration by the design team. Christmas mailing time is just a skip and hollar away and will be here before ya know it. I usually include a Christmas Letter with my cards so sometimes you won't see a place on the inside to add a note. Candy - For NO Reason

OMG, we had a great time at the CKC Scrapbook Convention in Kansas City last Friday. It's the first time I've left my husband alone for that long in over 3 years and was gone almost 6 hours. I did have backup just in case but he's doing really well with the new Aricept 23 and I really needed some me time. Selfish as that may sound.

The 2 Heartfelt Creation classes were so much fun and I finally learned how to use the dies with the stamps (I think).... At least I got a bunch of red birds and flowers stamped and cut out. Even have made 2 cards and spent 2 days in the craft room playing. Can't show you some of my cards until November 1 but I really did like the way they turned out.

Spent so much money at the Heartfelt booth that they offerd me a platinum membership.......lol BUT, I did save a ton and came home with 2 sack fulls. In fact, I bought 2 dies that I already had. Ever done that??? Because I love ya all so much I'm going to be giving away 1 set of dies to 2 lucky winners. One die is the Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch HCD 703 and the other is Spellbinder's Layered Poinsettia.

Lilly's On Her Way Home

I'm so excited about what I can do with this My Memories Suite program that I just couldn't wait until tomorrow to show you another page from the album. This time I played around with incorporating some digi elements I had downloaded from other sources to see how it worked. Yeah, they worked. Can't believe how easy this program is to use. Did you all see that amazing decorated tin that Angelica made for HFC? OMG, it's totally gorgeous!! I'm going to try and get one made tonight and hope it turns out half as beautiful as hers. Going to get out those alcohol inks I've never used, and had for a few years, to see if I can get my tin colored. Wish me luck! My First Album Using My Memories

OMG, if you've ever wanted to make a scrapbook album fast and in minutes and have not used My Memories to do so you are really missing out. It took me all of 5 minutes to create this template page once I downloaded the program. I've tried other programs and could never really get them to work for me the way I wanted and am amazed at the ease and comfort of use along with the affordability of the program. LOTV Stamped Feathered Friends

First, I would like to welcome my new followers and let you all know I am so happy you are here. Hope you enjoy your visits and find a little inspiration to take back to your craft room.

Oh my gosh, it's already Sunday night and we have had a beautiful weekend. The weather is gorgeous with low humidity and been in the 80's for the past week, 90's one day. I love it but I'm so ready for some cooler weather, like low 70's, which is due to move in this week along with some much need rain. We've had only a trace of rain for the past month and it's sooooooo dry here. Enough chatter for now, got to get a card finished before bedtime.

Guess I'm going to have to figure out Dutch Time. I missed it...sobs!

The image is from LOTV named "Stamped Feathered Friends" and is available HERE along with lots of other adorable new Christmas stamps. I've colored using Copics, added Polar White Flower Soft for the snow, white velvet flock for the fur on her hat and coat. The pink gem in the bow is from my stash as are the 3 at the top of the card. I colored the Christmas ornaments and then added Gold and Stardust Stickles to make them sparkle. The sentiments are also from LOTV, stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. The lace is from WOC and attached to white ribbon and adhered with Wacky Tacky (I love this stuff for adding ribbon and lace to cards). The snowflakes are made by the MS Snowflake punch and covered with Stardust Stickles. The DP is from my stash and I think it's Bo Bunny, the white glittered and embossed paper is from Imaginesce.

Beautiful Warm Colors of Fall

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends and bloggers who celebrate Thanksgiving at a time of the year different than those of us in the USA. May you have a blessed day with family and friends celebrating this beautiful and festive time of the year. The beautiful warm colors of fall with the reds, oranges, browns, yellows, and greens seems to be a favorite for a lot of us with cooler temperatures and low humidity. After such a hot summer it is wonderful to be able to open up all the windows and feel the cool and crisp air.

Finally getting back into my craftroom after what seems like forever and I'm so lovin it!! Here are a few challenges I've designed this card for and I sure hope you like it:

Phew, this is a lot for me.......

All of the items used on this card are from my stash, absolutely nothing new here. The image is an Elisabeth Bell image from Bells'n Whistles named Hearty Thanksgiving and can be purchased HERE, stamped with Memento Ink and colored with Copics, Flower Soft for the grass. The DP is from a year or two ago and I think it's Debbie Mum. I cut out and used some of the items from the paper pack for embellishments, Marianne and Spellbinder's Dies. Halloween Colors for Christmas Cards - WHAT?

Keeping it pretty simple again this month. Feel like it's December already and I need to hurry......lol Time to slow down cause it's only October 1. Here are one of my cards for CCAYR for October. In the beginning I struggled with this one so I pretty much let the DP do the work for me.

The challenge this month at CCAYR is:

OK, we all know that there's another "holiday" in October and that's Halloween. So... your Christmas cards this month need to have at least one of what are considered Halloween colours (orange, green, purple, black). We'd also like to see a punch or die cut somewhere on your card and this can mean regular punches, Spellbinders dies, border punches, something that was purchased pre-done, etc!

DP is from Bo Bunny Blitzer Collection, Tree die is Elegant Evergreen by Cherry Lynn, stamp is WOJ (but darn if I can remember the name of it) colored with Copics and Cinnamon Stickles add to the ornaments. I found this Joy Fold card over at Beccy Muir's blog and just loved it. Can't believe how easy it was to put together and her dimensions were perfect. I wanted something different and that I didn't remember seeing on anyone's blog yet so gave it a try. I'll have another one of these to Joyfold cards share with you later in the month.

It's A Girl................

Our baby arrived this afternoon with both sets of grandparents, Uncle Corey (Jer's brother), Conley and me. I thought Jer was never gonna tell us if it was a boy or girl. He came out and said ok, I want pictures of everyone here now and that baby and mom were doing great. Then we all said in unison, "What it is?" After hem and hawing around for a few minutes he laughed and said it's a girl and she is gorgeous. Needless to say we all jumped with joy because there are only 2 girls in our family, one in Texas (13) and a little girl we have never seen (2) in Northeast Iowa. Lillian Grace weighs 7 lbs. 15 ozs., 20 inches long with head and chest of 14 inches each. She has lots of dark hair just like her mama and boy is she a cutie. We heard a new baby cry while in the waiting room and we all looked at each and said that must be our baby and sure enough it was........lol Already got that baby cry down pat.. Since we couldn't see them for an hour we all went out to eat and then shopping for little girl clothes. That's gonna be the best dressed baby in town as we've all been buying clothes for boys so long it's really cool to be buying feminine little girl clothes.

Not much time, the girls are arriving in just a couple of hours. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Whirlwind Week

It's already Tuesday and I haven't been around to visit or comment or even been in my craftroom so I've got to scramble tonight and get my cards done for CCAYR for October. Have had very little computer time or time even to think about crafting. I do think about all of you though and wonder what I'm missing out on. Since I don't have time to get around to visit, probably until next week, I just want you all to know I'm missing you and seeing all those amazing creations you share.

The new great-grand baby will arrive on Thursday (we think) and weighs about 9.1 Lbs. so I'm sure she's ready for Baby G to make it's grand entrance.......lol

I also have friends coming from afar on Thursday, my youngest son and his wife fly in on Friday night for the weekend, Sunday is the big Chief's game so everyone is tailgating at Arrowhead except my DIL and I will be craft shopping in KC while the guys are at the game.

That's it for me tonight, just wanted to pop in and say "Hi" so you all know I'm still alive,

kicking, and missing my craft time.

Goodie Box & Christmas Ornament

Wow, I really lucked out this time. Found a see through goodie box I'd made last year and never did use, in fact, I found 8 of them, all with different DP. So I stuck some candy in it, made the ornament, and tied it on with a bow. Can't get much easier than this now can it. What have you put away and forgot about that will only take you a short while to complete and share?? We'd love to see it!

Under The Mistletoe

This sure looked a lot better before I posted it so somewhere in the transition it lost its clarity but I think it will be okay. This is for the challenge at Lili of the Valley this week of red. green, and white. I love this color combo for Christmas as it's so traditional. Of course, this adorable new image from LOTV, Under The Mistletoe, is what really makes the card so cute. It's just one of many new releases for Christmas this year.

My first attempt at a center step card, and as easy as it looks, I really struggled with the dimensions so made a template and cut it with an Xacto knife. Oh how I wish measurements given were a little more exact as math and fractions have NEVER been one my strong points. I did finally get 8ths figured out on the ruler though....lol

The DP is from Bo Bunny Father Christmas Pack and SU Cherry Cobbler, stamped and colored on Neenah card stock with Copics. G28, 24, 21, 20 - YR24, 23, Y15, 11, 00 - R39, 37, 35 - E74, 71, 70 - E55, 57 - E00, 000, R20 - C5, 3, 1, 00. Viva Decor Cream Pearl was added for the mistletoe berries, stardust stickles for the snow and on the poinsettia's from WOC, velvet white flock for the fur on the coat and polar white FS for the snow on the ground.

I had planned to enter this in the WOC sketch challenge but altered the sketch too much so I'm entering the following challenges:

What a joy and treasure it has been to be the guest designer at Anything Goes this month and to see and share all the fabulous products available from The Craft Den. In fact, almost everything I've used on this card can be purchased at The Craft Den. Most of you know I've been a little shy in using Magnolia Stamps for a variety of reasons but I really liked the way this one turned out. And, since I'm so much into Christmas cards right now thought she was perfect.

Bingo & Anything Goes

Now don't fall out of your chairs, it's NOT a Christmas card this time.......LOL Since we are having fall like weather this week thought it was the time to get into fall cards even though I never send them out. I like the cute and whimsical things of halloween and definately pass on the gorey stuff. Never have been a fan of the scarey stuff and that probably is due to being traumatized as a child by some of the neighborhood boys...we all know boys will be boys.

I fell in love with this stamp from Bells'n Whistles, Scarecrow & Little Wizard, such a sweet image and so cute. The challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog this month is Bingo and I chose the row of Buttons, Charms, and Punches. The DP is from K&Co and is probably a couple of years old. Love my stash! Colored with Copics and gold glitter added for the rope and leg ties along with the stars on the hat. The bow is a raffia bow tied with the button for the center and the charm added. Wish I'd had a pumpkin charm. I have a terrible time finding small charms to put on my cards.

Sugar Nellie Winter Wonderland

Yep, found another stamp I don't think I've ever colored up. Gee, it's amazing when you go back through your stash and find things you just thought you couldn't live without at the time and then when you get it you never use it. I'm just finding all kinds of goodies buried in my Christmas stamp drawer... So much fun!

This one is not quite as simple as the other 2 but thought it time I get back to my "it's never enough" and bling things up a little bit. Don't want you to think I've lost my mind with so many CAS cards......LOL

In The Spotlight and GD for Anything Goes Challenge Blog

I got so excited when asked by Tamara to GD for Anything Goes Challenge Blog it took me almost a week to get this card done cause Shabby-Chic and Vintage are not really my strengths. I do love how this turned out though and I got everything I wanted on it without a lot of bling. Yep, I know, no stickles or glitter, can you believe it...... I think I might be seeing a little more Shabby-Chic/Vintage style in my designs from now on. I'd sure love to know what you think of this, especially if you're a SC/V fan.

Princess For A Day

In looking at the new images from The Fall Elisabeth Bell Secret Stamp Kit created for Whiff of Joy I was reminded of when my daughter was a little girl. Oh how we loved dressing her up like a little princess. The day we took her home from the hospital she wore an adorable pink dress with lace on it, lace booties and pink bonnet with lace to match. Of course, that was over 50 years ago and my how times have changed in these past 50 years.

Got Year Old Christmas Stash??

Here it is already the first of September and it's only a little over 3 months before Christmas. Scary huh? Got some cards ready to mail or working on your Christmas letter? I'm frantically working on mine because last year I didn't send out one card or my Christmas letter. The challenge this month at Christmas Cards All Year Round is easy peasy. Just dig out last years Christmas papers, stamps and join us for a fun challenge. If you don't get all five cards done, that's no problem, at least you will be started on your cards and that will leave you a lot more time to shop, wrap presents, bake, and spend quality time with family as the holiday gets even closer.

Sweet Summer Days

The weekend has officially arrived and the KC Chief's are losing to the Ram's in the Governor's Cup so I decided it was time to get some work done instead of yelling my lungs out where no one can hear me except hubby and the dogs.....lol.

I should know better than to try and take night pictures and have then turn out good but it's been awhile since I posted and didn't want you all to think I'd flown the coop. I really have been busy getting some DT cards done for September and the posts scheduled so I can play in a few more challenges next month.

Jingle Bells

TGIF.....Hope you all aren't getting tired of Christmas Cards yet cause I am sure going to have a bunch more to share with you before Christmas.....For some reason this year I am so into making Christmas cards and I think it's because I didn't send out one card last year or my Christmas letter and was scolded by a few dear friends so I figure if I get them done early, my notes written, etc., that I will get them in the mail.....I know, I'm sooooo bad!!!

I've fallen in love Jingle Bells and finally found it, thanks to Lynda at Bells'n Whistles. And, can you believe it got here in time, all the way from Quixotic Paperie, for me to use for the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge, Christmas in July Challenge. I'm sure they have more in stock if can't wait until it's available again soon at B'nW. I am submitting this card for the following challenges:

As you can see my card is pretty simple this time as I didn't want anything to distract from this adorable image and the DP. The Merry Christmas is not showing up as well as I would have liked as I used Gold Metallic ink and sentiment from ODBD but it looks pretty in real life. I did add a few red gems so the easel part of the card would stand up without falling over.

Taking A Holiday

HAPPY THURSDAY!!

Thought I'd pop in and let everyone know that we are taking our 2 babies on a little holiday. The workmen are finally finishing up the front of our house, the car is back from the shop and looks brand new after getting all the hail damage fixed. I think the electrical issue is finally under control, and Conley's son John has moved into his own condo so we are 1 adult and 2 dogs less. Most of my major projects are wrapped up except for a few DT cards and I need to rejuvenate my mojo before starting those. I will probably take my laptop but never sure about internet connection when camping. Really looking forward to sitting by the lake and getting some fishing done with a blank mind........lol

Woo Hoo - Invites are done!

Just poppin in to say "Hi", welcome my new followers, and thank all of you for your wonderful comments during the Bells'n Whistles Customer Blog Hop. Finally finished the baby shower invitations for one of my daughter's friends. Not really what I would have chosen but it's what she wanted so I sure hope she likes them. Actually, I think ALL 65 turned out pretty cute, but boy, I don't care if I never see another pail with geometrics on it for awhile.....lol The pail shape is an svg file I got from, OMG...... I can't find the link or the name of the person from where I got it. I am so sorry!!! It was resized in MTC and cut on my cutter. All of the shapes were also cut out and glued together for dimension including the handle. Really wasn't much to it except all the gluing and putting everything together. I created the information on the pail shaped tag in Publisher and inserted into the pail. I can't even imagine sending out that many baby shower invitations for one party so I sure hope they have a good turn out and lots of fun.

Pink and Blue at Elphine House

Don't know what's wrong me but I keep hitting the wrong darn button and the post goes live before I'm ready. Sorry!!

Challenge #2 at Elphine House and what a fun one it is and so easy peasy, Pink and Blue. There are so many different shades of each available for your own interpretation of pink/blue. Only requirement to play along is that you must use an Elisabeth Bell image to qualify for the prize. As long is it is drawn by Elisabeth it works for the challenge and you all know how much I love Elisabeth's images. One of my favorite NEW challenge blogs.

I'm trying to develop a style that I love with my own interpretation of that style, and boy, I'm finding it a little challenging, but I'll get there sooner or later. Think maybe a class on flower arranging and embellishing would work?? LOL

Christmas Cards All Year Round - DT Card #1

Can you believe it's August 1, 2011??? Only 4 months left to get your Christmas cards all done and what better way to get motived than playing in Christmas card challenges. I know it sure gets me going because I don't have to figure out what I'm going to do, it's all right there to pick and choose.

The challenge this month at Christmas Cards All Year Round gives you so many wonderful options of things to choose to put on your card that the possibilities are endless:

Chipboard

Hand Stitching

Ribbon

Inking

Stamping

Textured paper (embossed is good)

Metal embellishments

Alphabet stickers or rub-ons for the sentiment

Stripes

Pick 4 items from the above list for each card you plan to make, of course you can use more if you like and embellish until your hearts content. For me too much is never enough......

Card Deets:

My first attempt at a tent card and I loved making it
DP is from Meg's Garden in Australia and the stripped paper on the inside I made by using CM Cranberry, strips of Score Tape and red glitter
The image is from Whimsy Stamps titled "Trimming the Tree" and colored with Copics. It was cut out so it could be used as an ornament and hung a with silver chain (metal)
The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs, printed out and added to thin chipboard then cut again and enhanced with Copics

If you can get five cards made in August and post them via the CCAYR Mr. Linky you will be eligible to win the monthly prize. A Dream Come True and a Little Inspiration

Just popped in, not to blow my own horn, but to thank those on the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Team for chosing my card as one of the Top 3 in the last World Challenge. EB stamps were my first to purchase a little over 2 1/2 years ago when I started making cards and I've always loved her adorable and sweet designs. This is truly a dream come true!

I also want to thank all the fantastic designers out there in blogloand for their inspiration and help with different techniques and sharing their amazing designs. Thanks to to my wonderful followers for the ongoing support and comments you leave me. Without your encouragement I'm not sure that I would have continued blogging and creating this long. You have definately filled a void in my life and given me a reason to continue with a craft I love doing and sharing. I am so honored and humbled.

For the newbies that stop by to visit or those of you that may be new to blogland, if you love creating please keep pursuing your dreams of designing, learning new techniques and sharing with others. Your rewards will be endless and you may just touch someones heart along the way.

Christmas in July

Can you believe it's the middle of July already. Seems like just yesterday we were wishing for warmer weather and summer. Here in the Midwest we have all and more than we'd wished for..... The heat idiocies have been in the 100's now for a week with no relief in sight. The other day the heat index here was 128. Had to be a record! Oh well, it's just something we can't do anything about except remember how much better it is than 20 below zero with blowing snow (soon to be upon us again). Somebody please slow the world down a little bit.

Stickles were added because I love shiny and glitzy ribbon on packages. Just could not seem to get the camera to focus today and I apologize for the poor quality of the picture.

"Dare to Dream" - Edited to Add Title

Gosh it's Thursday already and the weekend is almost upon us. Can't believe I've been so busy and having so much fun playing in the craft room this week. I've neglected getting around to visit the past couple of days as I've been trying to get my 4 cards for CCAYR August challenge completed and still play in other challenges. I've found out that if I take as much time to play and create as I do on the computer I can get a lot more done.....lol With that said, this evening I'll be devoting my time to getting around to visit all of you that have left comments and some of you that have probably been as busy I have creating with little computer time on your schedule.

My card today is for the following challenges:

I've used 2 stamps from WOJ Spring Stamp Kit, "Dare to Dream" and "Spring Tree", masking the dream stamp prior to stamping the tree and then colored with Copics. Dress: E99, 97, 95, E01; Hair: E59, 53, 50; Skin: E21, 00, 000, R20; Leaves: YG63, 03, G20; Tree: E49, 47, 44, 42. Flowers are from WOC, MS Bough Punch. Lace is from WOC with pearls added to the centers. Pearls on dress were made using Viva Decor Ice White Liquid Pearls. One of the shelves in my paper cabinet fell and all of my loose 6 x 6 papers are a mess so I have no idea of the name of the DP but it was distressed with Tattered Rose. I also added Chocolate Spica to the center of the flowers.

Oh, I almost forgot to let you know that my card for the LOTV challenge made top 3 this week and I am so excited and honored to have been chosen from among so many talented designers. Almost fell out of my chair and then stood up yelling and jumping for joy. My hubby thought I'd lost my mind and when I told him he just said, "Oh, good for you". Not a lot of enthusiasm there.......lol

Well, got to get back to finishing a couple of cards for August CCAYR. Hope you have the time to leave me a comment because I WILL get by to visit, if not tonight then soon. Wee Snippet & Mystic

Wee Snippet and Mystic stole my heart when released by Chrissy Armstrong and I've finally made the time to color them up. Mystic looks a lot grayer in the photo than he really is but aren't they just the cutest.

The DP is from Bo Bunny's Jazmayne Twilight and the plain card stock from my scraps. I made a shadow box for the image instead of matting and added that gorgeous butterfly from my stash. An MS border punch was used to create the decorative sides and the image was colored with Copics.

This has been my first week ever of experiencing problems with blogger, posting, and commenting so I hope whatever is going on is fixed soon because it's so disheartening to leave a comment 2 or 3 times and still not have it show up. It hasn't happened on every blog but so many of you that I've visited the comment was not accepted. I haven't missed visiting any of you that have left me comments this week and I do want you to know I did stop by and will continue to stop by until whatever they are doing is fixed and it will take my comment. I had to try 3 times this morning before it would even let me post and was about ready to pull out my hair (what little I have anymore........LOL).

We think they may have the electrical problem fixed, but not 100% sure, so it's a wait and see game we are still playing. The front of the house is almost complete except for the new railing, wrapping the windows and new posts, and new doorway. We are going to have a new electrical breaker box installed before winter but I'm getting my Christmas shopping done first or I won't have any money to shop.......lol.

Santa is not bypassing this house!

Happy Tuesday & DT Announcement

Hope all of you in the states had a wonderful Independence Day yesterday with lots of fun family activities and capping the evening off with some spectacular fireworks displays. Seems each summer holiday brings us closer to winter and that wonderful and magical time of the year we call Christmas. As most of you know, Christmas is my favorite holiday and season.

I'm so excited and happy to let you know that I've been chosen to be on the Christmas Cards All Year Round design team beginning in August and can't wait to share the challenges with you each month. You'll want to be sure and check out the blog the beginning of each month for some really exciting and fun challenges, plus, you'll have a whole month to submit your entries. A special thanks to Colleen and Lesley for creating such a fun blog. I'm really looking forward to working with the rest of the new team and seeing all their fantastic creations for 2011.

EB June/July Project - It's A Sketch

Since I'm always late getting my card submitted for this monthly challenge I thought I would really be early so I don't miss it again. I have a couple of other cards ready to post but can't post them yet so I'm going ahead and sharing this one with you. I just love these little fairies by Elizabeth Bell and they are available at Bells'n Whistles. This little one here is titled "Fairy Wishes". Isn't she just the cutest!

The DP is from my stash and I have no idea of the name of it. The lace and flower are from WOC. The punches used were Fiskars heart border and MS branch. Colored with Copics, stickles and gems from stash were added. The sentiment is from Do It With Digi's. Also used were liquid pearls on the mushroom and on the heart border. I really liked the pearlized shine it gave to the border.

We went to a fireworks display in the country with my daughter, SIL Jim, and son John. It was so spectacular and as big as any city display I've ever seen. It's an every year event hosted by the owner of one of the major construction suppliers for his customers, friends, and family and always held July 3rd. We had such a great time you can bet we won't miss another one. Everything is so beautiful in the country and the fireworks were held behind their large pond which reflected the lights on the water. Totally awesome!

Elisabeth Bell World Challenge

Finally back to crafting and creating again. Oh how good it feels to be coloring again and playing. I've so missed my fun time and all of you even though I have tried to somewhat keep up. I love these new Fairy images at Bells'n Whistles and finally getting some colored up. Here us a close up of the colored image.

I've been working on this for awhile and last night brought all my Copics and tools upstairs to get it finished. It was almost 6 before I got to bed this morning but I'm through dealing with the drama and getting back to doing what I love to do. For sure the world isn't going to end if I don't deal with an issue immediately. Nothing has been resolved with the house and electrical system yet, the estimates and insurance have been done for the Mercedes and it goes in the shop July 17th. They are suppose to start on the front of our house next week and I've done all I can do so someone else can fret for awhile..............lol

We Are Blessed!

Hope all your hubbies & fathers had a wonderful day today.

Just popping in for a few to keep you updated. Still no time to craft but I did manage to take enough time to do the Whimsy Blog Hope as they sure have some cute and fun new images and products Also had to check out the new Elizabeth Bell image of the month at the Digi Bell's site. Just had to get it even though I'm not sure when I'll get to color it or make anything.

We had another little electrical fire last Thursday in the basement with still no clue as to what is going on. The electrician disabled the circuit breaker that he thought was causing the problem. Last night while in the bathroom, the overhead light started popping so I immediately turned it off and it stopped. Will have to wait until tomorrow when he comes back to see what's going on in the bathroom so we aren't turning any lights on in there for now. Every room now has a smoke alarm, and boy, are those things loud. We are sleeping with a fire extinguisher by our bed just in case. There has to be some humor in all of this and you would bust out laughing if your saw our bedroom.

I've always heard challenges come in 3's so I think early this morning was our #3. We had a God awful hail storm and my Mercedes has more dents than a golf ball. Not just the top, hood, and trunk but the entire area of the vehicle. It will need a complete new exterior to make it look like it did before the storm and since it's a 2003 I doubt very much the insurance company will want to pay to get it fixed but we'll see. Just finished filing a claim on line prior to this post.

Oh how I need a day in the craft room to forget about the world and just play.

MIA & Electrical Fires

Just popping in to let everyone know that we have had some major issues going on with our house and to apologize for being around to visit or posting lately.

To make a long story short, almost 2 weeks ago we noticed some spots on the steel siding we had put on our house in 1988. When I asked my neighbor if he had ever seen anything like those round spots on steel siding he pushed on one of them and ended up getting a big blister on his finger. When he pushed on another one that had 3 vertical circles the other 2 turned red. Needless to say I was on the phone with an electrician to see what was going on. Now mind you, this was on a Sunday. Electrician would not remove siding but he did shut off the power to the front porch area. Monday, I found a young man to remove the siding, called the electrician back and my insurance agent. Since there was no damage to the house itself, no insurance claim. I've been working with the contractor on how to salvage the siding we took off because it's way too expensive now to use steel to reside your home.

Last night we had an electrical "FIRE" in the basement where there were actual flames shooting out of the dryer duct to the outside of the house, melted the hose to the dryer and the outside screen. Nope the fire did not come from the dryer vent. Here comes the fire department with three huge trucks and then the fire chief. They said they had never seen anything like this before and would stay until an electrician got here because that area was still arcing with sparks coming out of the siding. Guess who didn't sleep all night AGAIN.

Today he sent one of his men out to see what was going on. Our house, for some unknown reason, was not grounded so they took care of that first. Hooked all of the wiring back up and then checked a fairly new electrical box we had installed in the work shop for hubby. When he flipped a breaker that had shut itself off smoke started coming out of it, hence, another fire. He replaced what he was sure was causing the problem and called the Light & Power Company because there is something wrong with the meter. Yep, you got it, L&P still haven't shown up. He assured me that I could sleep tonight because before any fire started it would trip all the circuit breakers..... Ask me if I'm reassured........NOT.....LOL On top of all that going on we had company all last week.

Never a dull moment in this house! Once I get everything straighted out and my house cleaned up and put back together again I'll be back, but until then I probably won't be on much through the rest of this month. Just wanted you all to know that I was thinking of you and miss you. Don't want to lose you or for you to think I don't care about you or have been ignoring all of your beautiful creations.

I'll try to get around to visit a little as time permits. Stay safe, happy and enjoy the beginning of summer.

Graduation Card

Gee, it's been another week since I posted anything. For some reason time is moving too quickly for me to keep up with. I'd planned to post this in the challenge at MelJens but missed getting it in on time. The Graduation Mouse is by Mel and I think the sentiment is by Mel or by Raindrop Echo and purchased at Whimsy Stamps. The story behind the card is that my youngest grandson graduated from college this month and I didn't want anything foo foo like I usually make so kept it pretty simple. Mizzou's colors are black and gold so that is the basis for the card. I just love this digi by Mel!

I do have several images I'm working on and challenges but I'm at the point not sure what to finish first......lol I'ts been crazy around here this month with all the horrible storms, tornados, birthdays, graduations, spring yard manicuring, and just life in general. Here is a picture of the inside of the card with the box I made for the card. Blocked my mushy grandma good wishes.... Even shed a few tears when I made this as my baby grandson is all grown up now and going on to face the challenges of the real world.

WHEW - What a Fantastic Party & Update

Here is the cake I had ordered and think Bev did a fantastic job decorating. Everything is made from scratch. Matches the colors on the card.....lol The glass she can save and the decorated piece is plastic that can be washed and put in the scrapbook I'm going to make for her. I hope she saved me a piece of the chocolate layer cause when we left it hadn't been cut.

I think she really enjoyed the party and seeing all of her old friends from years past. We had the best Mexican food I think I've ever eaten, so for those of you that live close to Kansas City give the Rancho Grande a try for some tasty authentic food. Even taught the bartender how to make a White Russian while waiting on the food to go.......lol I'd forgotten just how good they tasted.

I'll be posting the pictures I took on Facebook in just a little bit if you'd like to see more.

I think I've made it around to visit all of you that have left comments the past few days and those of you that I normally visit daily. OMG - She's 50!

This has been one of those weeks that has been wild and chaotic around here and today is no exception. As soon as I get this posted I'm off to pick up the food and the big 50th birthday bash at my daughter's house. Not a lot of time for the deets on this project so if you are interested in them please let me know and I'll edit this as soon as I can get back to it this weekend.

First I need to apologize for not being around the past few days and commenting on your blogs but this party and all the prep has really taken a lot of my time, especially with the eye problems I've been having. GOOD NEWS, I got my glasses today and so far no headache and no blurred vision........YEAH!!!!!

No time to chat so here are the other two pictures, one of the inside and one of the box and card together. I hope you like the card cause I think it's kinda cute since the theme of the party is "Margaritas and Fajitas". I'm entering this card into the challenge at GraphicCat Creations. New Beginnings

It seems like forever since I've posted or been around to visit everyone. My eyes have been holding me back from doing a lot because of the headaches and blurry vision. Things are finally looking up! I saw a specialist last Tuesday in KC and there is nothing detatched from the retina in my right eye. YAHOO!!! Once I get my new glasses, which should be by next Friday, things will be better. Just need to keep watching the right eye and go back for another check up in a month to make sure all is well. I'm using lubricated drops in the left eye (recommended by specialist) which has helped tremendously with the floaters, now don't ask me why, but who cares if works, right!

My card was created for three challenges this week:

SCAD, Friends With Heart - use paper piecing and one of their images

Wild Orchid Crafts - sketch and at least one of their products

Crafty Creations - Anything Goes #118

The image is from SCAD named "New Beginnings". With a new great-grandbaby on the way I'm kindda into baby things right now...... The image is paper pieced with scraps from my drawer and that not pieced is colored with Copics. Added Glossy Accents to her shoes for that black patent look. I've had the vellum paper for heavens knows how long and no idea where it came from. I do know I've haven't seen any like this for a very long time as it is embossed by the manufacturer. If any of you know where this type of vellum can be found I'd sure appreciate it if you'd let me know. Here is a closer look at the image.

The sketch is from WOC and I've added so much to it not sure you can see the sketch....Just can't seem to get enough foo foo...LOL I decided to make my first shadow box for the image and not really happy with the way it turned out but I spent so much time trying to figure it out I was going to use it anyway. All of the flowers, stick pins, and the lace are from WOC Store with MS branch punch for greenery. I truly liked this sketch!

There are so many gorgeous entries at Crafty Creations Challenges and it's a fantastic challenge blog so check it out when you get time. Lots of inspiration there and so many fantastic designers.

Mother's Day Has Arrived

A very Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mother's throughout the land and abroad.

My card today is for the sketch challenge at Bell'n Whistles. I think I figured out today why I love Elizabeth Bell images so much and it's because her images remind me of my only daughter when she was small. Childhood memories of my daughter are so much better than my childhood memories.....LOL

I thought this stamp was from SCAD and just found out it's from B'nW......so guess I'm going to miss the challenge at SCAD this week............(sobs) And to think, I just got 3 news stamps from there this week and didn't use one of them. I'll play next week unless I have some free time tomorrow.

The new image is called "A Blossom For You". Now she just can't get much cuter and sweeter than this for a Mother's Day card. Oh what wonderful memories I have! Blossom was colored with Copics with a few different colored Stickles added for some extra sparkle. The butterflies were cut out of vellum with the MS Butterfly punches, added Yellow Stickles to the edges and pearls for the center. The sentiment was computer generated, cut with a Spellbinder's die and edged in Star Dust Stickles. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the fluorish is from my dear friend Olga. Everything else is from my stash.

Her First Mother's Day Card

Little longer post than normal so grab something to drink, sit back and relax so you get all the details.

This is a Mother's Day card for my granddaughter-in-law who is expecting her first child in September. I thought this Elizabeth Bell image (Pregnant Willow) from Whiff of Joy was the perfect image for this occasion. It's been a long time (at least it seems like a long time to me) since I've entered a card for a WOJ Challenge. I really loved the sketch this week and knew I wanted to use this stamp for her card. The wooden bench is also an EB image and from WOJ.

I kept this card pretty simple this time, rotated the sketch so my image would fit and added a few extra goodies. Trying to keep within the range of the colors of the baby's room but since I haven't seen it yet, not sure I'm really on track........lol

Here is the inside of the card and I apologize that it is so blurry but it's the best I could do. Guess the old camera decided to do it's own thing. I used the poem "A Mother's Love" by Helen Steiner Rice. It's always been one of my favorite poems.

The next entry is for the challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge "Mums the Word". I'm also entering this card in the challenge at The Paper Shelter #11 Ode to Mom's except the card will not qualify for the prize because I did not use one of their stamps. Read the rules too late!

The Rains Came and The Flowers Are Blooming

Gosh, can you believe it's April 28th already! Spring has finally sprung, the trees are leafed, the rain has stopped for today at least, the flowers are beginning to bloom and I've finally turned off the furnace. I've made this card to share that I think fits the following 3 challenges:

The image is the adorable Hey Birdie from SCAD and the new Peekers set by Elizabeth Bell. Just click on the link to see the complete set. She is just one of the sweetest and cutest images in the new set. She was colored with Copics, masked and the blue sky stamped with Colorbox Chalk. The DP is from K&Co Julianne paper pack and the silver matting is from my stash and I have no idea where I got it. The flowers and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts with the flowers having a touch of Star Dust Stickles on them. Oh I love those SD Stickles...........lol A Spellbinder's scalloped circle die and a MS Branch Punch also used. The flourish was cut on the Cricut and smothered in those wonderful SD Stickles. I added Diamond Glaze to the water in the birdbath and when dry Viva Decor Hologram Glitter. The Copics that were used are: E21, 00, 000 - R39, 37, 35 - YG67, 63, & G20 - B95, 93, 91, 000 - C6, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 - YR24, 31, Y21, 11, 0.

CCAYR Inspiration Post

This is my last post as guest designer for Christmas Cards All Year Round Challenge Blog. The challenge for April was something oval (rememberance of Easter) and ribbon. I've loved being a GD for CCAYR and will continue to play in their challenges. I have a good head start now on Christmas Cards and hope some of you got the chance to play along with us.

Here I used papers from CM (metallic gold) and from Imaginescue. The image is colored with Copics and is an Elizabeth Bell image purchased at Whiff of Joy a few years ago. The snowflakes were cut out with an MS snowflake punch and covered in Star Dust Stickles The center medallion is a Spellbinder's die with ribbon from stash laced through the openings in the die.

Multi-fold Card Challenge at TMIA/PCC

The challenge this week is brought to us by Jenn, DT sister at TMIA/PCC. Jenn wants us to make a multi-fold card of our choice. I chose the Criss Cross Card. This is my first CC card and I loved doing it. Thanks Jenn for challenging me to try something different. This will be my last post as a member of the design team for PCC. I've loved being a part of this team and working with Nina. She is the BEST!!! The new DT is awesome and bring so much inspiration and creation to the challenges I know you will love what they have to share. My term is up and I've decided I need to complete some projects I've taken on, like my 3 classes, getting my eyesight back to normal (whatever that is), and playing in more challenges. I've made some fantastic blogging friends though this challenge blog and for that I am so thankful. I'm also a little sad because I will miss working with everyone and with Nina. Thank you to Nina for giving me the chance to design with her images and to the very supportive past and present design teams sisters.

The image is by Nina and named "Sunny Stroll" and colored with Copics. Just an adorable image for an Easter card. The sentiment is from ODBD "I Am The Way" set stamped with Archival Purple and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. DP is from my paper stash drawer, flowers and lace from WOC and stickles on the umbrella.

A R T Challenge at SCAD

Finally got back in the craft room to play in the ART Challenge over at SCAD today.

A= any stamp from SCAD

R= ribbon

T= Two Patterned/Designer papers

Be sure to stop by the SCAD challenge blog to get all the deets amd some inspiration from the DT.

Think I may have gotten a little too far out with this one but it I kinda like the way it turned out. That's what not being able to craft for a week does to you, all kinds of crazy things come to mind......lol

The stamp is an Elizabeth Bell Stamp from the EB Spring Sampler Set at SCAD, is titled Letter To A Friend and colored with Copics. I added Cinnamon Stickles to her buttons for a touch of shine and Grape stickles to the center of the wee flowers. The DP is by K&CO and the solid papers are Bazzill. Tried to accent the colors in the DP yellow, and brown solids.

Cut out a Doily Die from the opposite side of the dp in faintly patterned blue and used a Spellbinders die for the center in yellow, embossed with (I think) vintage embossing folder and sanded the embossing a little. Then I cut out an oval in Old Olive and covered with Pine and Sage Fine Flower Soft and adhered the cut out image to the little grass patch of grass. Oh, I almost forgot, that's Fun Fur which you can find in the yarn department of almost any craft store. It's from a skein that I had left over when we modified flip flops a couple of years ago for a fun look. You can barely see the doily die for all the yarn...

The coordinating blue pattern paper was cut with an MS border punch, ribbon added above it, a Tim Holtz embellie (thank you Joan), MS Monarch butterfly punch with gold stickles added and the yellow heart sentiment is heat embossed. Flowers are from WOC with some gold stickles.

Thank You, Top 3, New Blog

First, I want to thank all of you for being so patient and supportive and let you know I'll be around within the next day or two to see what I've missed these past few days. Surgery went MUCH BETTER than the last one and followup today was good. I've gotten 2 pair of magnifying glasses, one for reading and computer work and the other for driving.......May 5th go back to get a prescription for a new pair of glasses as all should be healed and normal by then. Boy, I can't wait.........

NEWS

I was so excited that I did manage to have my DIL put my top 3 blinkie badge on the blog the other day from SCAD. It's been almost 2 years and this is my first top 3 award. You have no idea how surprised and excited I was to receive it. Jumping for joy!!!!

My son and daughter-in-law came in last Wednesday and this afternoon we spent setting up a blog for her as she loves to craft and make cards. It's still under construction but it's live so if you get a chance please hop over and welcome her to the wonderful magic of blogland.. I did add a few things to her blog but pooped out before we got a lot of links added so we will work on it again tomorrow.

Bells'n Whistles "Color" & Wild Orchid Crafts "Wings" Challenges

The challenge at Bells'n Whistles is a color challenge of Blue, Green, and White. You must use an Elizabeth Bell image to participate in the challenges. The challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts is "Wings" to be interpreted any way you choose. Just received this adorable image from B'nW and thought it fit perfectly for both challenges. There are some fantastic new Elizabeth Bell images at B'nW so if you missed the blog hop, jump on over and take a look. If I'm going to use flowers on one of my projects they are always from Wild Orchid Crafts unless I make my own, and boy, I'm not very good at doing that....lol

The DP is from Memory Box Fond package, the mat paper is a blue Bazzill, sorry I forgot to write down the name of it and Old Olive from SU. All of the flowers and lace are from WOC with Stickles added for that bling I love so much. The scroll (fluorish) was cut on my Cricut and those fab Stickles were added. I used a Spellbinders die for the image background after cutting out the image and coloring with Copics. I also cut the lily pad out and sprayed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist to give it some shine and adhered the cut out image to the lily pad and then the die. This new image is named Lilypad Dreams and can be purchased here. Isn't she just adorable!!! The gems are from my stash and the stickles used were Star Dust.

CCAYR Inspiration Post

Here is my 3rd post as GD for Christmas Cards All Year Round this month and though some of us are probably not into doing Christmas cards with spring here, it's never too early get a head start on making those many cards we need for the holidays.

The card is an oval shape cut out of CM Cranberry card stock, stamped and gold embossed using a stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs. I've added poinsettias from Wild Orchid Crafts and tiny green bows made with ribbon from my stash.

The challenge this month is to use an oval on your projects and ribbon. I hope you will play along with us and enter this fun challenge at CCAYR.

Update, Thank You, & BFB Award for YOU

Think I've finally gotten around to visiting everyone that left a comment on my last 3 posts so if I missed you I sincerely apology.

The doctor visit yesterday went okay and I've decided to go ahead with the right eye on Monday. Actually, the procedure is really no big deal once you get the first one done, it's all the frustration afterwards......lol I do have floaters in my left eye that will probably never go away and is caused from some of the gel being pulled away from the retina but does not affect the retina. This also happens to a lot of people that never have cataract surgery as they age. I'll adjust! The lens they put in is not strong enough and unless they change out the lens I'll still have to wear glasses. NOT going there......lol

All the blurriness, headaches, twitching, and being worn out are from my right eye carrying all the load of sight. Once the right eye is done and I get new glasses everything will be fine. Well, that's about 3-4 weeks off before I get the glasses. Not sure how much creating and posting I'm going to be doing for awhile but there will be some. At least I think I can get some cheap magnifying glasses to use until my glasses will be ready, at least I hope so.

Well, that's all about the eyes and onto something much more exciting and memorable. My very dear friend Olga has given me this award and I want to share it will all of you. Thank you Olga!!!

Fabric and Stitching at TMIA/PCC

The challenge at TMIA/PCC this week is brought to us by Chelsea and she wants us to incorporate "Fabric and Stitching" on our projects. You can use fabric on a covered brad, make a flower out of fabric, or just use a piece of fabric instead of a patterned paper. So have fun creating your project this week and be sure to post it on the Paper Cupcakes challenge blog. Can't wait to see what awesome creations you make.

The DP is from BG Sugar Rush paper pack and matted with SU Old Olive. The image is by Nina of PCC titled "Bunny & Butterfly" and was colored with Copics. Don't you think he's got the cutest little face. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler so it's for sure I can't stitch a straight line either..LOL Used a stitch on the machine that was hoping would cover up any of my goofs..... The butterfly was cut with an MS punch and covered in multi-colored stickles. Pine Flower Soft was used for the grass under the bunny & flowers. Brads are from my stash jar.

Easter Tag for Joan's Challenge

Just finished one of my assignments of creating digital scenes so I'm entering this tag in Joan's Tag Challenge. Believe me, it takes as long to create something digitally as it does to color and make by hand, if not longer. I'm going to use this on a tool box I'm making for Easter and thought it turned out pretty cute. I hope you like it. All of the digital images on this tag are from Cool Scraps or from Cajoline.

Bunnie for Bells'n Whistles & SCAD Challenges

Happy Friday!

This is one of my favorite cards to date and I hope you like it as much as I do. This year I had promised to participate more in the challenges that require you to use an EB image and have fallen way short from my goal so I'm going to pick up where I left off. I have a lot of these stamps and I'm ordering more so I really need to get them inked and ready to share. Don't you just love Bunnie and so appropriate for this time of year. I've had her sitting on my desk for 2 months, waiting patiently for me to bring her to life.

Birthday Card Challenge at Joan's

This is the card I am submitting for the challenge at Joan's Gardens this week.

Just barely finished this card tonight and did not get the sentiment on it but it is a birthday card. My trip back to the eye doctor this morning left me pretty uneasy and a little upset. Seems the cataract was pretty dense and hard to get out plus I must not have been able to lay still even with the anesthesia....leave it up to me to always have to be moving and doing something. I could not read the letters on the wall, everything was blurry with the left eye and a little too much pressure according to the nurse. I now have 2 floaters in the eye and just what all that means I'm not sure. Have to continue the eye drops and go back again next Monday unless something occurs before then. So much for my thinking this was a piece of cake......lol At least things are much brighter with the left eye and the right eye now does all the reading......In all honesty, I've been pretty tired the past two days and not able to stay awake for over 2-3 hours so I'm posting this before I head to bed. Another view showing the opening on the front of the card and part of the inside.

I'm not too happy with the way this turned out but didn't want to miss out on the challenge so here it is and it is what it is. My daughter's favorite saying....lol

Here is the card I created for this weeks challenge at Joan's Gardens. The challenge is to use the colors Peach and Blue (Teal), Butterflies, and something Frilly. I know my peach looks more orange and that's because I did not get a chance to take the picture in daylight. Sorry for the poor quality. I really loved doing this challenge with these colors. In fact, I even ventured into making a tag for the challenge this week to be used on a gift along with this card. Wow, can't believe I made one of those small things.......LOL

Can you believe it's Monday already and almost the first of April! Wow, time is moving way too fast for me but sure beats the alternative.........lol As Easter is rapidly approaching I decided to create an Easter card this week but you may use any theme you like.

Happy Birthday Drue

May your day be extra special and your birthday party on Saturday a blast!

Can't believe that my only granddaughter has reached her teen years and is growing up so fast and so far away. El Paso is a LONG way from Missouri so our visits are far and few inbetween. As you all know, I'm terrible about getting things mailed in due time so to make sure she gets to see her card today I decided to share it here. Hope you all enjoy.

I'm entering this card in my first Kenny K Challenge which is 3 DPs, 2 Ribbons, and 1 Image. Have quite a few of these images but just haven't had a reason to color one up till now. Went a little overboard on the embellies but I like the foo foo way it turned out and yet not too childish. Of course this image is just adorable, as is Drue, with those cute dimples and blonde hair she has.

My grandchild has turned into a foxy teenager and foxy she is. Last summer when she left she was wearing hot pink and lime green with pink (one shoe) and lime shoe laces in her other tennis shoe. Hence, the reason for the color scheme.......lol

Magical Monday Vintage Card & Freebie

Woo Hoo!!!! It's officially the first day of Spring here and all about flowers and warmer weather. Nina has created this gorgeous new Doodle Flower 4 image for you to use on your card and I have been given the honor of bringing you the challenge for this week at TMIA/PCC. The challenge is to create a card or vintage tag to be eligible for this weeks prize. You are free to use any image of your choice but we love it when you use a Paper Cupcake image (here) plus you get 2 entries in the drawing.

Magical Monday Monochromatic Challenge

Nana Vic Hosts CDAC Embellishment Challenge 19

There is an embellishment challenge going on over at CDAC this week that is being hosted by Vickie of Nana Vic Digitals and I sure hope you will be able to join us for this fun challenge. This image is free for the next 2 week for those that participate in the challenge.

With Easter being just around the corner Vickie designed this beautiful digital image of the cross along with a full page of sentiments, not just religious, but also some cute bunny sentiments. First, let me apologize for the quality of the pictures as my camera is acting up again......GRRRRR

DP is digi paper from CoolScraps Digital and sprayed with Glimmer Mist
Image colored with Copics
Lily flower embellishments are also digital. Could not find any paper lilies flowers or punches anywhere.

For those of you that believe in Jesus Christ, I know ya all are gonna think I'm crazy with a red robe but I used red to depict the suffering that Christ endured so that we may have eternal life. I also added some red to the areas of cross where He would have been nailed but it doesn't show up in the photo. The crown of thorns are a few shades lighter than the cross, but again, this does not show up in the photo.
