Here is my card for the challenge this week at Paper Cupcakes issued by Nina. You are to make a Valentine card for one of your friends with a sentiment and share it with us. Of course you are free to use any image of your choice but if you use a PCC image you will be entered into the drawing twice for this weeks prize.
I've used two PCC images on my card this week and one of Nina's new sentiments. The front is a new image called Cute Valentine and I think she is sooooo very cute. On the inside of the card I used Tons of Love as she is definitely one of my favorites. You can pick up these digi's at the Paper Cupcakes Store.
DP solid is Bazzill and the patterened DP is from K&C
Here it is Saturday already and I decided to go ahead and post my card made for the CDAC Heart Hop that showcases the Patchwork Heart image along with a page of Sentiments from Vickie at Nana Vics. If you've completed the hop you know by now that you will receive 13 wonderful free images to be used for Valentine Day projects, one or two from each group.. You only have 1 more day to complete the hop to get your free digi's along with an entry for a $20 gift certificate.
The secret is out and I am free......lol
Paper is from my stash drawer and I have no idea where I got it
Image and sentiment from Nana Vic (I split the sentiment in 2 pieces)
Colored with Copics
Piece of cotton from cotton ball
Spellbinder's Scalloped Circles - MS Fern Punch
Flowers from WOC and pearls from Olga (Thanks Olga!)
Now I'm off to clean house, do laundry, and hopefully have enough time to play the rest of the weekend. I've got some challenge cards to complete that I haven't even started and some more of Vickie's wonderful images to share with you. Stay tuned for a new challenge blog coming in March.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you will kindly leave me a comment I'll be sure to come visit to see your latest creation and what's happening on your blog. Be back Monday if not sooner.
Almost forgot about getting this posted today. Here is the last puzzle piece teaser before the hop starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow. I may just have to get up early for a change so I can play early. Sure hope you join us for a fun and exciting hop with LOTS of freebies and goodies for everyone. You will definitely not leave empty handed from this hop.
Just slick on the link on the top right hand side of my blog to get you there.
See ya at CDAD, and guess what, you will start with Nana Vic's group.
Did I excite you with the title? I hope so! If you like puzzles, fun, freebies, and lots of inspiration you won't want to miss this fun hop starting January 28 lasting thru January 30 at CDAC. There are 13veryexcited artists waiting to meet you and have you join their group. It's free and it's going to be a blast!
Be sure you check back tomorrow for another piece of the puzzle and again Thursday for the 3rd piece of one of the puzzles, then it's off to the hop on the 28th. Once you have all of the puzzle pieces (oh darn, I can't tell you yet and it's killing me...) I've never been very good at being kept in suspense but I'm a great secret keeper......lol
What an awesome challenge by Nina of Paper Cupcakes this week. AND, this is freebie week. I've included this adorable bird with envelope as part of my card. It's really not the shape of a red bird but I didn't think blue would fit, so he's red today......... This challenge is a totally new concept for me as I'd never seen one of these Tic-Tac-Toe cards before. This was really a fun card to make. Third time was a charm cuz I think I finally got it right......lol Hope you don't mind me saying so but I really like this card. I'm bursting with ideas for doing another one soon with some unique options.
EDITED: Okay, I screwed up and misinterpreted the challenge. IT IS NOT A TIC-TAC-TOE CARD! Please check out the challenge at Paper Cupcakes for the specifics. I still like this card though and in a way it fits.
The design team have some really adorable cards to share with you this week so be sure you stop by Paper Cupcakes. I know you don't want to miss seeing the wonderful inspiration the team have created for you. Here are pictures of just the front and of the sentiment inside.
I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
The flowers are from WOC w/Star Dust Stickles and the fern is a MS punch
Sorry this has been such a long post but I didn't want to leave anything out.....actually, I guess I just like rambling sometimes. Can't wait to see YOUR fantastic tic-tac-toe project and sure hope you will find it as much fun to make I did. Looking forward to you joing us in the challenge this week at Paper Cupcakes. Don't forget to stop by and pick up your free digi bird and check out the DT cards.
Now if ya got enough energy left after reading all this I hope you'll leave me a comment so I'll come visit you soon. I always love reading what you have to say.
Here is one of the newest digi's, Time Cherubs, by Nana Vic. I really enjoyed coloring this beautiful image but I'm really rusty on my copics. Haven't spent near as much time in the craftroom as I would like. Vickie also has a page of WordArt designed especially for this image.
Here is the inside of the card and I've colored the roses to match the easel part of the card then shaded with pastel chalks.
And here is a close up of the front of the card. I hope you can see some of the gold on the face of the clock.
I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Nina at Paper Cupcakes has created this fantastic sketch for us to use this week. I altered it a bit by replacing the sentiment on the left with my much beloved WOC Roses and added the computer generated sentiment to the bear's heart.
Here is the original sketch:
Welcome back to all my DT sisters at Paper Cupcakes. I'm sure everyone is as happy to be back creating for PCC as I am and looking forward to all the exciting events in 2011. Be sure you hop on over to see their wonderful and inspirational creations.
Maybe a gift for someone or a gift bag plus a card.
You really need to check this out because the DTs have some awesome inspiration to share with you.
I've been wanting to make a medallion for ages so I used the same papers I used on the card cuz I just love that sparkle and these colors. Not an easy task due to the thickness of the Reminisce DP but I kinda like how it turned out for my first one. I followed the tutorial from Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace. She works magic with Spellbinder Dies. Here is the link to the tutorial from January 2009. Ya think I'm a little behind in trying this? ...LOL Next time I'm going to add more ruffles.
The box is from Michael's covered with Bazzill and Reminisce DP. I added ribbon around the sides of the box then attached snowflakes (in keeping with the card theme). I used Grape Ice Stickles for the brad in the center of the medallion and around the 3 edges of the top of the box.
If you want to see the details on the card, please scroll down to the previous post.
Thanks so very much for stopping by and I sure hope to see you again soon. If you have the time to leave me a comment I'll be over to see what's new on your blog ASAP.
Hi Everyone, finally got in my craft room today to play for awhile. Here is my card for the "Snowflake" challenge at Bells'n Whistles. Yep, can you believe it, I'm getting a jump start on my Christmas cards for next year.......You still have until January 15th to play along. I will also be entering this card along with a gift box for Elizabeth Bell's World Challenge due 1/22/10 by 7 pm Arizona Time.
Nope, no time to get a card done and so many missed challenges but I keep trying to pop in to see how everyone is doing and leave a little sugar. My hubby has been pretty sick so for the last 4 days and nights there has been very little sleep and I haven't been able to leave him alone long enough to get anything done. He wants me in the same room with him all the time, so I'm accommodating. We made a mad dash to the doctor's this morning as he was delirious and I was afraid he had pneumonia. He was really out of it and I got scared. Still not sure he doesn't and if not better with the meds we go again Wednesday. Thank God he's been asleep since about 9:30 and I've gotten some computer time. Now if he will just stay in bed all night and sleep it will be a blessing from above.
That's it from me for the night, going to hit the sack and try and catch up on a little sleep. Don't forget to hop on over to High Hopes for the hop, challenges, and prizes. "Hugs" Carol
This was suppose to be my first challenge card of the year, but guess what, it doesn't fit the the challenge I made it for so it's back to the drawing table.........LOL.
The sketch is by Bev for the WOC challenge (which I'm not entering just yet) and the card itself was suppose to be used for Bells'n Whistles - Let it snow, Snowflakes - It's an Elizabeth Bell image but not from Bells'n Whistles......DUH......That's what getting another day older does for ya..LOL

Popping in to wish all of my friends and bloggers in blogland a Very Happy New Year.
It's a good thing I don't make New Year resolutions cuz I'd already broken one and it's only January 3rd ....LOL No card today as I'm really off schedule. My son and his wife just left this evening as did my husband's son. They came in Thursday since they didn't make it for Christmas and it's been crazy around here. We've been shopping, out to dinner and a party to ring in the new year. A big New Year's day with friends over and buffet to watch the Rose Bowl and some football. Then yesterday was the Chief's last regular season home game. Today was shopping again with our crafting coupons to Hobby Lobby and Michael's. It's our 24th wedding anniversary so we spent the day just messing around with the kids.
Tomorrow is my birthday, my God my body is getting old but I still think I'm 40......LOL The only thing I asked for was at least a partial day in my craftroom with no interruptions........like that's gonna happen! It will probably be total chaos again around here.
My daughter-in-law was teasing me today about the man behind us in line for dinner last Friday night. She said he spoke to his wife about that old lady texting and he just couldn't understand why an old lady would be texting on a cell phone (he must have been older than me). Actually, I was texting my daugher and hubby that their dinner was paid for and to come in through the double doors instead of going through the long waiting line. I had to laugh and told her he just needs to get with the program, you are as old as you want to be. With this little tidbit my friends I'm calling it a night.
Will be back tomorrow evening with some challenge posts and hope to see ya then.
